Song: George Ezra - Budapest
But, for you, oh you, I'd leave it all.
"Harry, Put me down!"
Placing her body back on the ground, Harry's amusement at the girl with a shocked face looking up at him. "I said, help me, not pick me up." His dimples appearing, she would poke them normally but at this moment things needed to be done for Niall's arrival. "Thought it would be easier." She shook her head, a smile breaking her composure. "Anyways, isn't this an end of summer party?" He sat back down on one of the barstools in Niall's kitchen, Grier filled bowls with chips, dip was next. "Yes..." "Looks like it's more for a cute, little blue eyed boy, if you ask me." Hunched over on the island now, a teasing smirk on his face, pink lips pursed as his green eyes got bigger from staring. "Don't look at me like that." "Look at you like what?" His eyes followed her around the island and as she searched through all the bags of groceries they had bought earlier, she smiled to herself.
"Hey, I get it, he's special to you."
She stopped her rummaging when she thought back to her fight earlier that week with her mother, Grier had thought the same thing, her mother didn't understand.
...
New message...
Mouse: hows ireland and ur mom?

Mouse: good :) miss you...
Ducky: I'll be home in a couple of days, darlin' but yes I miss you too
Mouse: oh, I wanted to ask you something...
Ducky: shoot beautiful
"Grier!" Her shouting coming from down the hall. Feet moving quickly over the carpet, bare feet entering her room as she searched her mother's face, tired, sad, a bit angry. "Yeah, Mom?" Apron on, hand outstretched. "I've been calling you." "Oh. Sorry."
"You're always on that damn phone, I think I should take it away. What's so important you have to be on it all the time. You don't even listen when I talk to you, what's gotten into you!" An annoyed vibe from her being stood in the middle of Grier's room. Grier's eyes hooded, mouth agape, where was any of this coming from.
She had been testy this past month, her boyfriend had been giving her a hard time, but that wasn't Grier's fault. Her father would never burst like this, ever. If he had problems he'd deal with them on his own, then again his wife was the problem most of the time; nagging, arguing with him for no reason, never stopping to just comfort him when he obviously needed it.
We tend to forgot how our parents and our significant others are just like us, going through stuff too. Its hard to see your parents as people. She didn't blame him that night, he decided it was enough and left, but she didn't take his side either... She would never leave the woman that gave her life, that loved her with all her heart and worked very hard to give her everything she needed: a roof, a warm meal, love.
But, in this instant, she had no idea where all this was coming from, to let go of all this anger, but at the wrong person. "I'm talking with Ni-Niall..." A whisper, floating through them and dissolving before it could even be well understood by her mother. "You talk with that boy way too much. I need you to focus on school, all the AP courses you have won't work on themselves, all the books-" "I'm doing fine. And I barely even speak with him, the time difference doesn't help." Her pursed lips seemed to want to part and say many things.
