Y/n's POV

After the 'breakfast date' I had with Evan, he would always bring in some sort of breakfast to make sure I don't skip a meal.

"He nags me every time I reject the food he brings me," I thought as Evan hand me the breakfast for the day.

"Thank you," I said with a sheepish smile.

"Anytime," he beamed, sitting down next to me on the bench. We decided to eat in the open field on campus today. It was a sunny Thursday, and we sat outside to feel the sun and the light breeze.

"Come to think of it, I don't have much to do today either," I thought, taking a sip of the lemon tea Evan bought, "I guess I can go pay the Buckets a visit."

"What're you thinking about?" Evan asked, waving his hand in front of my face, bring me back to reality.

"I'm thinking about visiting the Buckets today," I replied truthfully. Evan narrowed his brows, to my surprise.

"I don't know," he started slowly, "look, I have nothing against the Buckets. And I know you said that you and Willy Wonka had dealt with your misunderstandings, but he gives me really bad vibes."

"Most people feel that way when they first met him," I replied truthfully, as I did feel that way before, "but he can be kind at times."

Evan scoffed and looked away, "he's probably only kind to you..."

I ignored his words and continued to eat my breakfast.

Willy Wonka's POV

I pressed both of my hands on the table, my head hung low. The sound of chemicals bubbling can be heard all around.

"How can this be?! I'm second-guessing myself again... I can't even pay attention, but it feels different than before... because..."

This time, I'm not sad because I failed to find an heir, no... this time it's different. I have several ideas, but I can't focus on one because... all I can think about is Y/n. All the different expressions she made a few days ago lingered in my mind. The way she smiles softly when she's with her family, her teasing smirk after finding out I liked her back then, the serious and focused look when she's making desserts for others... all of them makes me feel weirdly happy.

"Mr. Wonka?" A child's voice called out. It was Charlie. I looked up to see him standing in the doorway of the inventing room.

"Ah, Charlie," I smiled slightly, standing up straight, "sorry, how long were you there?"

"Just for a bit," Charlie shrugged, "I knocked on the door but you didn't hear it so..." I walked up to him, holding the best smile I can possibly make at the moment. He definitely saw through it, as he looked at me with concern. "Mr. Wonka, are you alright?"

"...no," I confessed, looking around the inventing room, "I'm quite distracted today."

"Is something wrong?" Charlie asked with concern, but there was a hint of curiosity.

"Thanks to Y/n," I shrugged, chuckling. I realized what I said and turned to look at Charlie, who looked sad. I panicked. "She didn't do anything wrong, of course! It's just..."

Charlie looked happier now but tilted his head to the side curiously.

"Damn these kids and their curiosity," I cursed in my head, before smiling at Charlie.

"Say, what would you do if Y/n gets a boyfriend?" I asked, wanting to know his answer.

He lowered his head and pondered, before looking back up at me, shrugging. "I wouldn't do anything, as long as her boyfriend makes her happy." He smiled.
