Willy Wonka's POV

"Great... just great." I rolled my eyes in annoyance, but managed to make it unnoticeable.

After everyone filled their plates, we started eating. I glanced over at Y/n, who was eating quietly.

"Now come to think of it, Y/n has really good table etiquette... who taught her that?" I thought to myself. The way she holds the utensils, the way she sits up straight... everything looked so elegant, of course, her beauty enhances the overall elegant aura that radiates off of her.

Just when I was about to ask her, Evan took the words right out of my mouth.

"Y/n! I never noticed how elegant you are when you're eating! Have you taken etiquette classes?" Evan asked her curiously.

Y/n placed the utensils down on the plate, which meant pause, and swallowed, looking up at him. She wiped her mouth before opening her mouth to speak. "No," she denied, shaking her head with a smile, "my uh... father, actually taught me that."

"If I remember correctly," Mrs. Bucket started, joining the conversation, "your father used to bring you to business events when you were little."

"That's right," Y/n smiled, closing her eyes and reminiscing about the past, "I guess I got used to it and eat like that now. I never noticed that."

"It just means that you have a high aptitude when it comes to learning new things," Evan said with a smile, complimenting Y/n.

"It's all thanks to my father," Y/n said humbly.

"Mr. Massouslleve," Mr. Bucket started, looking directly at Evan with a threatening glare. However, Evan didn't even look afraid, he just looked back at him with a polite smile. "You seem to be quite close with my niece."

"That is correct," Evan replied immediately.

"How did you two meet?" Mr. Bucket asked with a serious tone.

"Oh I've known about Y/n for quite some time," Evan explained, chuckling lightly, "she's quite popular."

"I believe it's the second of February, the day after the factory visit," Y/n said, chiming in.

"That's right," Evan said, nodding his head, "we met in the library that morning."

"I've known about Evan before this as well, we just never had the chance to interact with one another until that day," Y/n said with a smile.

"We found out that we were both working on the same research project for the same professor, so we started talking," Evan added. "And that's how we became friends."

The way that they would continue the other's sentence shows how close of a bond they have with one another, and that frustrates me.

"Oh! That reminds me," Mrs. Bucket chimed in again with a mischievous smile, "Y/n was smiling at the notes that you gave her that day."

Y/n paused and looked up at Mrs. Bucket, while Evan smirked and turned to look at Y/n, raising one of his eyebrows. "Is that so~?"

Y/n chuckled lightly and punched his arm playfully. "Shut up."

"Mr. Massouslleve, are you really just friends with my niece?" Mr. Bucket questioned, acting as if they're in an interrogation room.

"Uncle we really are just friends and working partners, nothing more," Y/n promised, but I caught a hint of annoyance in her voice.

"Yeah, friends with benefits," Evan said, winking at Y/n. I froze.

"Evan-!" Y/n glared at him and grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him closer to her, their faces only inches apart. "Don't make that kind of jokes in here, you hear me?" Y/n warned him.
