Alec stayed the night at the hospital, since the clave speakers had been staying at the institute they didn't allow her to stay at the intermarry there so they took her to a mundane hospital to treat her wounds
Alec was waiting inside, sitting next to her waiting so she can regain her consciousness, he was sitting on the chair next to her bed his elbows resting on his knees looking at her
The monitor beeping every second to reassure the staff that she is breathing made him irritated by why she hasn't woken up yet, he looked at her and held her hand and squeezed it
"Hey Raquel," he exhaled "wake up- I know I haven't been the most open and well let's be honest mostly blunt but-" he inhaled "i just haven't been like this- like free- or open- or careless- I now have fun, especially with you" he looked down feeling a squeeze coming from Raquel hand, his head napped at her
"Raquel?" He asked
Her eyes fluttered open slowly, her breath starting to get deeper while her eyes are trying to adjust to the light, her breath started to quicken, now becoming faster and faster her eyes snapped to Alec while widening at the sudden loss of breathe, she started to hyperventilate
Alec quickly got up and tried to calm her down by sitting her up and rubbing her back reassuring her "Hey it's okay- your okay, your safe" he sat back down
"Yeah I think- I don't know what happened" she answered
Nurses enters the room taking over for Alec,
"Is she gonna be okay?" Alec asked the nurses actually worried about her
"She will be, it's okay-" the doctor assured Alec then looked at the nurse "take him out side- I need to speak with her- alone"
"-no no I need to stay here" Alec argued
"Excuse me are you her husband? Boyfriend? Relative? No then please leave" the doctor fired back getting frustrated by the girls state,

"Can you answer me, how did you get this injured? Where you drunk or someone jumped you?" The doctor asked
"Like I said I'm a cop" Raquel answered her
"I can't believe you I need to see a badge so I can let you go" the doctor said
"Fine can u call the guy that was just here?" Raquel asked her and then the doctor looked at her with a questioning look "boyfriend" she answered, then sighed "engaged"
The doctor then exited, five minutes later Alec came in and had a worried look on his face
"Hey you okay?" He asked "how'd they let me in?"
"Told them were engaged" she said, both of their faces were holding a tint of red, She kept staring at him then snapping her self out of her trance and asked him "are my sisters here?"
"No they left to cover for you at the department" he answered sitting down next to her
"Okay they won't let me leave until they see a badge- so can you go to my apartment and get it? Please?" She asked
He was caught of guard by the sudden softness, then answered her "y-yeah sure" he turned to leave but stopped and slowly turned to look at her his facial expression filled with worry
"I am fine" she gave him a reassuring tired smile while putting both her thumbs up, he then smiled to himself then turned and continued to walk out heading for her apartment

"Put your hands up!" Charlotte shouted while aiming her gun at Alec "Alec?" She smirked at why she found him at her best friends apartment "what are you doing here?"
"Oh-um" he looked at her his look shows that he's caught red handed, he stuttered "I-I-um-i just-badge-" he inhaled giving up and saying "I came here for Raquel's badge" he looked at her waiting for a response
Her devious expression changed to a worried one "why where is she?" She asked
"Hospital"
"What!" She went to the couch to put her shoes on "what happened is she okay?"
He didn't want to say anything since she was a mundane and didn't know about the shadow-world "um- look I really need the badge" Alec said
"Fine but I'm coming"

"What happened to you?!" Charlotte asked as she entered deems hospital room
"I-I-um-i just-badge-" she tried to muster out,
Charlotte looked at her than back at Alec and muttered "some people really do rub off on ya"She then sat on the chair that was beside her bedside "what happened? Please tell me so I can kill their asses" Char said worried
Raquel exhaled covering her face with her hands, not knowing what to do, getting tired of keeping all the secrets,
she looked at Alec, he gave her a nod while closing the door
Charlotte looked back at Alec and then to Raquel frowning her eyebrows
"Okay I am gonna do something but I really- really need you to not freak out, okay?" Raquel begged
"Okay?" Charlotte said slowly looking between the two
"-wait are you sure you wanna do this?" Alec asked
"I guess- I mean what can I say next time this happens or something worse?-" Raquel was cut off from Charlottes phone ringing
"Hello? Yeah this is she- what?! Okay okay I'll be there" she ended the call looking at the two who had questionable looks "look we'll finish this later- right now I need to get home cause Bella's water just broke and I am the only one near enough to go get her-" she said while getting up "don't move!" She warned, but before leaving she pointed at the two and said "don't you two do anything dirty-"then she winked but Alec cut her off by closing the door hoping for her to stop
The two looked at each other a red tint smeared it self on their cheeks, Raquel rolled on her stomach and growled from the embarrassment her partner just caused her,
Alec just tried to hold a laugh while leaning against the door
