"Hey Luke"
"Hiya kiddo" Luke messed Raquel's hair up
"Okay calm down there with the hair messing situation, I spent an hour of-"
Alarms go off and the speakers go on
"Noise complaints on Midtown Manhattan in some abandoned church, Raquel Langford and Charlotte Manchester your on for it"
"You've got to be kidding me" Raquel slams her coffee in the desk while Luke gives a shrug with a smile

"And after I gave the speech they were like no don't do it but then I did it and then-"
"Charlotte, stay here I'll check it out" Raquel snaps and cuts her in
"Are you sure, looks pretty sketchy?" she asked
"No I'll be fine- just stay out here for lookout alright?" She gave her a weak smile and walked towards the church
When she entered the institute everyone looked at her, and some guards went and tried to drag her out
"HEY! HEY!" She screamed as she tried to get out of their grips " I need to speak with the head of the institute! Now!"
"Raquel? HEY let her go! Now!" Alec screamed "as long as I am head of institute Raquel Le-Stain is welcome to the institute, and that goes to ALL stain members"
They let her go
"Thanks lightwood"
"Yeah doesn't mean anything"
"Okay ouch"
"Wait what are you doing here, aren't we supposed to meet at 3?" Alec asked
"Yeah but got a call at the office saying that there were noise complaints down on Midtown Manhattan" she fired back sarcastically
"Are you sure it was us- and wait your a cop?" He asked
"You could say that and they said 'an abandoned church' so I am pretty sure it's you"
"Must be Izzy"
"Okay just tell her to lay down on the music, I really can't keep covering-"
"Raquel? Who are you talking to?"
"Charlotte!" Raquel said surprised "hello there my trusty human Partner," Raquel said while glaring at Alec until he realized what she meant
"Are you okay?" Charlotte asked
"Y-yeah I am fine actually. why aren't you keeping watch?"
"I got a call from HQ, they say theirs a 'demonic attack?'" She pauses "he says it's an emergency, I'll drop you off on my way back to HQ"
"Wait aren't you coming with me?"
"I would but chief said he needs me for interrogation,"
"On who?"
She exhales "Luke"
She doesn't flinch but doesn't move
"I'll start the car"
When Charlotte left, Raquel let out a sigh "hey" a more softer tone in Alec's voice, she finally looked at him "I'll come with you to check on the attack then we can check on Luke" but now it turned into a serious one
Her face turned serious, and she nodded

She then grabs her phone and outs it up to her ear "your taking a phone call right now, well that's rude" Alec fires
"No you dingus, what do you think when mundanes see me talking to no one, huh? Wanna explain that?"
Realization appears on his face And he shakes the embarrassment off "how is he?"
"Intendant is still in there-" before she could finish the intendant walks out
Raquel then signals Alec to get in before the door closes
Moments later the door opens "cameras are off no one can see"
"Good, now Luke what the hell did you do?" Raquel said while putting both hands on the table
"I was at the crime scene before the cops got there, so now they think I did it they think I murder the mundane" Luke answered
"I saw the body, it was a warlock," she told him
"Who?"
"I don't know but I might have a hunch," she looked between them "ever heard of the name Barnabas Hale?"
"W-wait your cousin?" Alec asked, she nodded
"How are you sure?" Luke asked
"Classic Serpent venom, deadly yet non-lethal at the same. Exact. Fucking. Time." She answers while heading towards the door "I go pay him a visit tonight with my sisters"
"Perfect"
"Yeah, can I use your stele?" She asked Alec he nodded and gave it to her "I guess we should at least warn him about our unexpected family reunion" she said while sending a fire message. "Thanks, Lightwood see you at 3" was the last thing she said before exiting the door
Luke looked ad Alec with curiosity "you guys have a date?" Alec almost choked
"No no just coffee with the six of us," he said while getting red, then exiting
