"Another demonic attack?" Raquel asked as she entered the institute
"Yeah, the attacks are getting closer- they want the cup" Izzy answered while walking next to her "we need you to put some wards up for ours and the cups protection" she looked at her
"Yeah of course" Raquel said while facing her "I just need to put my stuff away-" she pointed at her weapons and vest "mind if I put it in your room?"
"No ho ahead- um I'll catch up with you later"she had a weak smile on her face, giving sympathy to the girl
But why?
While Raquel had out her stuff in izzy's room, she headed to secure the institute with her magic,
And while she was she ran into a couple,
"Alec?" She asked "hey"
"Oh Raquel hey" he looked between her and the women next to him "oh um Tali-" he was cut of by the women
She put her hand out for Raquel to shake "I'm Talia Branwell- Alec's fiancé"
Raquel's heart dropped 47 flights down the stairs- and if not forty seven maybe more, he eyes widened, he pupils small as ever, her facial expression shocked and kinda hurt
"-oh fiancé- huh" she managed, she looked at Alec "how long have you two known each other?" She asked trying to mask her expression
"For about a week?" Talia answered
"A week?!" She looked from Talia to Alec "A WEEK?! Seriously- wait your choosing a political marriage?" She ask getting furious with the dumb discussion he just made
"It will restore my family's name and give me full power of this institute" Alec defended himself crossing his arms on his chest
"So your option to solve this problem is a political marriage" she said as if an arranged marriage was the dumbest thing anyone could do in this time of need
"We are both in this decision and it's final" Talia said calmly
Raquel scoffed, looking between the 2, "well" she said holding a stern look on her face crossing her arms behind her back "I hope you have a wonderful life together" she walked past them bumping shoulders- but before she could leave she turned and looked at Alec "and- it's your life to ruin" she pointed at his chest, then actually leaving them alone
