"Come on I need details!" Elise groaned shoving another cheez it into her mouth. We were cuddled up in my living room eating junk food. My mom just left for a meeting with a client.
"No you don't!" I groaned throwing myself backwards on the couch. Will chose the perfect moment to stroll into the house like he owned the place not bothering to knock.
"You had sex! I need the dirty details!" Will sat beside me on the couch and lifted me and placed me in his lap. He placed a kiss on my shoulder blade rubbing his hand on my side and I felt my body shiver in response.
"You want the details on our sex life? What do you want to know? How big my dick is?" Will smirked at my besfriend. I gasped and turned to look at Will before looking at Elise who looked at him in disgust.
"Ew! Fuck no!" She shook her head so fast I was surprised she didn't get whiplash.
"What positions she likes? Which ones really get her going?"
"Ugh girls are supposed to talk about this stuff with their best friends! Don't make me sound like some kind of fucking creep!" Eli narrowed her eyes at Will who just busted out laughing.
"I am one of your best friends!" Will fake pouted in mock offense.
"You are but you are also a pain in my ass!"
"Yeah this isn't awkward or anything! I'm going to go get some drinks." I pushed myself out of Will's lap and walked towards the kitchen.
"I am just giving you a hard time. You really are nosey you know that?" Will taunted playfully.
"I know its a blessing and a curse."
"It was special Eli. Being with her and connecting with her in a way that only we can is indescribable. I've never felt anything like this before." Hearing Will admit that did things to that made me all mushy inside.
"She's got you whipped." Eli sighed with an awe expression on her face.
"Don't I know it."
"We should try to find you a boyfriend so you won't be nosing into our relationship." Will teased and Eli flipped him the finger. I strolled back into the living room and plopped myself back into Will's lap.
"You think a boyfriend would stop me?"
"Probably not, sad thing is I think we are stuck with you."
"You love me, asshole." Eli rolled her eyes though a small smile spread across her face. This is their friendship in a nutshell. They banter back and forth like brother and sister. I'm not going to lie when I first introduced them to each other I was nervous Will would like Elise more than me. She wasn't some girl with a dying parent, who viewed life some fucked up way. Now looking back and seeing how much Will loves me and bickers with my bestfriend it's crazy to think I was ever worried in the first place.
"Yeah well I was kind of forced to."
"Hey!" Eli grabbed a throw pillow from the couch and launched herself to her feet before closing the distance between her and Will. She raised the pillow above her head. I tried to crawl out of his lap but the ass moved me using me as a shield.
"All jokes aside I have a friend from the shop I want to introduce you to." Will laughed from behind his hold on me.
"You playing matchmaker now? Hell no. Wait...is he hot?"
"I'm comfortable enough with my sexuality than I can admit he's attractive." Eli peaked at him over the pillow.
"I don't know. I don't want to look desperate.."
"You don't look desperate. This is my idea. If he's game what do you say to a double date?" Will pulled me back against his chest. Elise's eyes snapped to mine searching for some help but I simply just smiled. A double date could be fun plus it would be fun to watch her squirm for once.
"Ugh fine! But if he turns out to be a creep I'll kill you."
"He's a good guy. Don't worry. You ready babe? We have dinner with my dad and Tucker soon. We should probably get going." Will traced patterns on my shoulder lazily.
"I should get going myself. Call me later?" I nodded and waved her goodbye.
"Hey Cameron. How are you holding up?" Paul, Will's dad pulled me in for a warm hug. I saw him briefly at the funeral but everything from that day is a blur. Standing in front of him now he looks better than he ever has in the months that Will and I have been together. There's color to his skin and he seems to have put on a few healthy pounds.
"I'm hanging in there Paul. Thank you for inviting me over."
"You don't need an invitation, you're always welcome here. Come on let's eat. I made spaghetti and garlic breadsticks. I hope you're hungry! I made a shit load."
"I'm starving!" I gushed and followed close behind him to the kitchen. We took our seats and started making our plates engaging in small talk while we ate.
"How's work Paul?" I asked genuinely between bites.
"Oh it's busy! I've been putting in so much overtime at the warehouse. Things got a bit hectic there for a while. A couple of new hires kept stocking parts in the wrong places it's taken me forever to sort it all out. How's school? You only have what? Two weeks left now?" Paul passed me another breadstick.
"It's good. Honestly it's pointless for us to go at this point. We just sit there for attendance purposes since the exams are over. Now it's just the waiting game until graduation." I popped a piece of the breadstick into my mouth savoring the garlic goodness that danced along my tongue.
"Any plans for after graduation?" Tucker surprised me by asking.
"I'm going to go to community college for two years to get my basics out of the way. University is so expensive and if I am being honest I'm not ready to leave my mom yet."
"You're a good kid Cam. I know you want to make sure your mom is okay, I respect that. Just don't derail for your dreams. You were meant to do big things kiddo. Just like my Will here. I know I've been a lost cause for some years now but I still see he was meant for more than I ever was. His grades alone, hell he's smarter than I've ever been." Will smiled at his dad. Witnessing their relationship do a night and day turn is so beautiful.
"Dudes a genius and could be a lawyer maybe even a doctor and yet he wants to open his own automotive shop. How cool is that?" Tucker beamed with nothing but pride for his brother.
"I'm going to go to work full time at the shop and go to night school to get my degree in business before I open my own shop. Do things the right way."
"That's my boy! Your mother would be so proud of you. I am so proud of you." My heart melted at his words, knowing how much they meant to his son. I couldn't help but wonder if one day my dad would be proud of me.
