I grabbed three glasses and filled them with ice and poured tea into them. I could hear the mumble of my dad's and Will's voices but I couldn't make out what they were saying. What could they possibly have to talk about? And for this long? I wanted to walk back through the swinging door but I knew my dad wanted to talk to Will so I lingered around the kitchen. After cleaning off the counters and wiping them down with clorox wipes I decided that they had talked long enough. I carried all three glasses against my body back into the living room.

"Will here is a pretty good guy. I like him." What in the world happened while I was gone? My dad shoots me a bright smile approval spread across his face.

"You hear that Cameron your dad likes me." Will shoots me a grin that showed off his perfectly white straight teeth. A grin that could melt even Queen Elsa's frozen heart.

"Yeah I heard that." I handed him and my dad each a glass of tea and took a spot a few feet down from him on the couch.

"I am going to let you kiddos get to that project. I have a rerun of the Jersey Shore calling my name." My dad waved as he wheeled himself into his bedroom and shut the door leaving Will and I alone for the first time ever. My mom is at the office working late so it's just us three here today.

"He loves you, you know." Will scoots closer a little bit on the couch. I arched a questioning brow at his sudden movement.

"I know. What did you two talk about?" I couldn't hide the curiosity in my voice if I wanted to.

"None of your business." Will smirks knowing that it was going to eat me alive. I hate not knowing. I am a control freak, I hate the unknown. I don't like surprises. I narrowed my eyes at him which only made his smirk grow ten times bigger illuminating his handsome face.

"Relax, we talked about you." As if that is supposed to help me relax. In fact it only made me worry what they talked about that much more.

"Great." I mutter sarcastically as I flipped open my physics book to the page I had bookmarked earlier.

"He wants you to be happy Cameron." He adds as he opened his own textbook turning his attention away from me as he spoke.

"What? He talked to you about that? Why?" I gasped the shock evident in my voice. Why in the hell would my dad have this conversation with Will? I don't even know him! He doesn't know me. We are strangers, just partners in physics, that is all.

"I am not exactly sure why, but he did. You know my mission was to figure you out but now I have an even bigger mission. I am going to make you smile." He smiles genuinely at me and if I was Kennedy or any of his other fan girls I would have melted into a puddle on the floor but I am not. I am me and I am not fazed by this guy no matter how attractive he is.

"I am not having this conversation with you. Are you ready to build this model or not?" I am quick to change the subject to anything other than myself. I am already so uncomfortable that my dad had such a personal conversation with Will about me, the same conversation that he has with me but with a stranger...

"I will follow your lead boss." I gathered stick like objects and like earlier I attempted to build a model but like earlier I had no success.

"So for the pole I found a metal paper towel holder and for the magnets I found some old refrigerator magnets." I started to explain the materials I found pointing to each one as I spoke.

"Since you supplied the materials I will build the model." He suggested and I shrugged. I am not really much of a builder but seems like a fair trade.

"Okay I will take notes of what you do while building it and afterwards we can fill out the packet together." He nods agreeing with what I was saying and started to unravel some yarn and started to build a model better than I ever could. He did is flawlessly and perfectly that I was speechless. He grabbed a pink picture framed magnet of me at Disney World when I was seven.

"Cute." He flipped it around showing it to me.

"Thanks. I was seven there. I threw a fit and insisted that my parents let me wear my Cinderella dress. My mom was about to blow a gasket but my dad let me wear it anyways."

"That explains the crown." A smile spread across my face as I relived that day like it was yesterday.

"I was very persistent as a child. I knew how to get my way." I couldn't wipe the smile from my face if I wanted to. That was one of the best days of my life. I was young, wild, and carefree. Life was easy back then.

"Somehow I believe that." He turned his attention back to the model as he tested the rest of the magnets and much to my dismay his creation withstood every single test he performed. I scribbled down start to finish how he built it and each and every magnet he used.

"Can I ask you something?" I ask and the mention of me asking him something caused him to snap his head my direction.

"You can ask me anything." He nods cautiously waiting for me to speak.

"Can you please keep the whole cancer thing between us? I really don't want everyone to know my business." I fumbled with my fingers nervously. Everyone finding out would cause them to look at me with pity and sympathy, the last thing I need or want.

"Of course." He doesn't miss a beat before he nods. I feel relief flood my veins.

"I am not embarrassed of my dad. I am just not a personal life story sharing kind of person. The only reason you know is because you are my partner so you were bound to find out at some point." After finding out we would have to get together after school I knew I couldn't hide it from Will especially since I am not willing to go anywhere else since my dad needs me.

"Cameron I won't say anything. Besides it's no ones business anyways." He is right it is no ones business. Relief swam through my veins knowing he wouldn't say anything. Wills phone beeped the tone filling the air.

"Shit I've got to get going I didn't see what time it is. Can you finish the packet? Or I can take it with me?" He jumps up to his feet and started shoving things into his backpack carelessly. He is in a hurry that much is obvious but why? And why am I so curious anyways? Stupid Will invading my personal life has me curious about what his life outside of school is like.

"I can finish it, there's only two questions left anyways."

"I'll see you tomorrow." With that he storms towards the door like his ass was lit on fire and outside was the only bucket of water to put it out.

"Goodbye." I watched him open my front door before shutting it behind him. What in the world just happened? Why was he in such a hurry? Probably forgot he had a hot date or something with one of his fan girls, not that I care.
