A cheap hotel just in the heart of San Francisco was where we were supposed to live, for a day or two. It wasn't something special. Just a room with two beds and a small bathroom. All we needed. None of us expected something big.

"Saaaaan Francisco" Louis sighed loudly as he jumped down in his bed, facing the pillows, "I like it here"

"We haven't really seen that much.." I laughed at him.

We only took a cab to the city from the airport, and it was dark outside so we didn't see much. Louis raised up to look at me with a smirk.

"But enough pretty girls to make me love this city"

We both started laughing. And just a while after a small chat, and a beer to share, we both fell asleep.

___

I woke up the morning after, feeling more awake then ever. I raised up from the bed and looked at the time, which was just after nine in the morning. I scratched my neck before rising fully up from my bed and walking to the bathroom. My hair was chaos as i watched it in the large mirror. And as more I tried to fix it, it became more crazy. With a sigh I took of all my clothes before enterkng the shower. Usually I stayed in a shower for like twenty minutes if not more, just thinking about everything while letting my body relax under the hot stream of water. But not this time. Only five minutes later I was putting on a new white tshirt and black short jeans. I took a look in the mirror as I pressed my feet down in my favorite pair of worn converse. As I finally felt ready, I gazed myself in the mirror one last time before leaving the hotel, letting Louis sleep for a while longer. I silently closed the door to our room, as my hand slid down of the pocket of my jeans where I had put the photograph.

"Good morning" I said carefully at the old lady behind the reception, and her brown eyes met mine before she smiled widely.

"Good morning! Morning walk?" she asked in a friendly voice, and Spanish accent.

I nodded as I smiled, before leaving the small hotel. Nervously, I looked around. It was like for every step I took, it felt like I was coming closer to her. Which was pretty damn cliché, to by honest. But I was happy by the feeling of being close and the fact that she could be anywhere in this town. Behind every corner, in every shop. Anywhere. And frankly, I couldn't believe that I was actually here.

My eyes caught the tram that slowly drove up uphill beside me. Something woke up inside of me, and as the tram started to slowly leave me behind my feet began to take bigger steps, and only a second later I was running after it. I was coming closer and without any hesitation I grabbed my hand around the railing on the end of the tram. I pulled my self up with a laugh escaping my lips as I held on to the pole next do the back of the door of the tram, watching the uphill end and the tramp starting to drive downhill again. I felt weirdly alive.

I jumped of the tram at the next stop, and continued to walk. And for the next two hours, that's exactly what I did, embracing the fact that I was here, and I was going to find my miracle.

"You better brought coffe or something, Harry!" I heard Louis yell from the bathroom and I laughed as I placed the McDonalds breakfast down at the table.

   "Don't worry Lou, I did" I laughed.

The door opened to the bathroom and as I crashed down in my bed with my coffee. Louis stepped out from the hot bathroom, naked and picked up his clothes from his bag. It was totally normal for both of us to get dressed in front of each other, I was the one that started anyway. We didn't feel weird about it, at any point.

"You could wake me up" he said as he got dressed.

"You were sleeping, besides it wasn't that tragic without you" I smirked, as Louis glared at me, "It felt good just explore a bit myself, since the only thing we do when we two explore is females for you to take home"

Louis laughed and nodded his head and got fully dressed before he took his breakfast and started to eat.

"So, what's the plan? Where are we going?" he asked.

"I don't know, to be honest" I answered and took a sip of the hot coffee. I trailed my tongue at the upper month as I felt how the hot coffee slightly burned my tongue.

"Give me the picture" Louis said as he walked over to my bed, with his hamburger in his left hand.

    "I've already looked I hav-"

"Well last time when I looked I founded where she is, so give it" he spoke, and I froze. As the words left his lips, something felt wrong. And I couldn't figure out what it was. Something just felt.. Wrong.

I gave him the photograph and he looked down at it while eating his hamburger, having a frown on his face.

"Her T-shirt" he suddenly said and raised his eyebrows. I raised from my bed and looked down at the picture Louis hold, "See here?" he pointed at her tshirt, above her breast and under  her shoulder where the bag was hanging, "Isn't that possibly the San Francisco guide traveler brand?"
I squinted as I looked closer. He was right. Underneath the bandoliers of the bag hanging over her shoulders was a brand. I couldn't see the whole brand because of the bandoliers but it wrote something with San Francisco, definitely. Small small words under it made me squint my eyes even more, and I read the words 'guide'.

"Holy shit, yes" I said in a whisper.

"Let's go then! Let's find this guide trav-"

"But we don't know where it is?"

Louis glared at me once more before rolling his eyes and the same second I tried to spoke he shoved up the last bite of the hamburger into my mouth  to shut me up.

"We will find it, come on!" he cheered walking up to the door and taking on his shoes while I was still standing in the same spot, in confusion with the burger in my mouth, "Harry!" he growled in a jokingly way and I swallowed the burger before nodding my head and walking to the door where Louis was standing.

As we walked out the door, I suddenly froze. It made Louis stop and he looked back at me with a confused look. The feeling that something was not fully clear, that something was wrong returned, and before I even got time to think about it more, words started to leave my lips.

  "I got a feeling she's not here"
