''Did someone went grocery shopping?''.Me and Louis looked at each other and smiled as we heard Judies steps coming closer from the kitchen.
''Boys..'', she spoke and we looked at her with amused smiles, ''.. Boys, be honest with me'', she had a soft voice, still tried to seem serious by leaning against the door with crossed arms.
She was still wearing her outfit to work, her hair up in a ponytail and clothed in clothes that.. receptionists usually wore. Me and Louis on the other hand, were both sitting on the porch shirtless, enjoying the warm setting sun shining at us.
''What? We haven't done anything'', Louis lied with a smirk.
''You two are..'', she sighed before she could finish her sentence, ''Damn you, you're sweethearts'', she smiled, approaching us and giving us a kiss on the forehead, ''What have you been up to today then?'', she loudly asked as she returned inside, then opened the kitchen window so we could hear her.
''We've been in Diasys and Lexi's schools, driving around the town really'', I answered.
''Oh, and Amber showed us where she used to work'', Louis added.
''I hear my name?'', and speaking of the devil, Amber walked out on the porch with a smile on her lips as she settled down on Louis lap, he hugging her with his arms.
''That sounds fun! None of you know if Lexi comes home for dinner today?'', Judie sighed.
No one answered, because no one knew.
''Damn, Harry nice body'', Amber laughed, breaking the silence and I glanced at her.
''He is a fit little hottie'', Louis smirked, trying to reach his fingers to my nipple to twist it but I managed to turn away making both him and Amber laugh.
''Jealous shitheads'', I called them and Amber stuck out her tongue at me, I flipped her of.
''Oh, how I love that you two get along'', Louis sighed, proudly and we all laughed.
He was sarcastic, I hope.
A couple hours later, I was found in Daisy's very tiny room, sitting by her writing desk with her next to me and her homework spread out over the desk. Amber and Louis went out with the dog, Judie was in the kitchen cooking dinner, Bruce was still at work, and Lexi.. well she was gone as always.
''You get it now? Try to solve another one, and explain for me how you did it'', I smiled as she buried her head down in the math book, biting on the end of her pen.
I watched her, with a slight smile as I began to think about how closer I had grown to the family of a person I met almost three weeks ago and hated so much. I felt like Amber and me also were on better terms. And then, Bella. We texted everyday, like regular thing. 'How are you', 'the weather is great', 'how is everything going' and such. But she wasn't that much on my mind anymore. I couldn't remember her face, which almost scared me, and it's been over a week since she went back home to San Francisco. It wasn't like I had forgotten about her, I still missed her and wished she was here all the time, but I was just thinking about other things. Things like... Lexi.
''Okay, done'', Daisy sighed and turned to face me, ''So basically I first calculated the the sum of this parentheses before I divided it with the other one''.
I watched what she wrote on the paper and I smiled.
''Good work, you just got the wrong sum of the second parentheses. It's seven plus tree, not two'', and she fixed it immediately.
