Part 17

After a few days of walking, we finally arrived near the border of the Hidden Rain Village's territory (As the name states it was raining heavily), Jiraiya hid himself in the frog, Gamagoro and had him swim across the border with him inside him, while I complete erased my presence and physical body, and walked on the lake instead. When we had successfully infiltrated the village, Jiraiya came out of Gamagoro, while I made my physical appearance seeable again, but kept my presence hidden. We both put cloaks on to hide ourselves and blend in, I followed Jiraiya's lead on this one as we walked inside the village.

Then we went to a pork dumpling stand and both of us bought a dumpling to eat. The shop keeper commented on how she's never seen our faces here before. Jiraiya told her we were writers in a magazine, he even asked her if we could write about her dumplings in it. The poor granny. I continued to eat the dumpling as Jiraiya also commented that the village was peaceful. Then the granny said something that interested me,

"This village is no longer plagued by war thanks to Lord Pain." Then Jiraiya asked about Hanzo of the Salamander. Many villagers were staring at him, but Jiraiya was quick and said thanks to the granny. He grabbed my wrist and we walked away. Then we went to a dango shop and got dango and tea. When we were sitting down and the waitress was giving us food, I asked about the origami angel hanging on the sign. She told me that it was Lady Angel and that it was good luck to have it hanged in front at the shop entrance. I saw that Jiraiya was deep in thought but then he became all pervy and I looked to see what he was looking at... it was a sign that said

"Make-out Pub War"

The stupid pervert. He told me to have a look around and see if I can get any more information while he goes and get information from that vulgar place. He added to meet back here in ten minutes.

I stayed at the dango shop and talked to the waitress about the village. I learned that Pain uses the rain to watch over the people. So we're already under watch. I paid for my food and told her I was going to wait for my companion here. I waited for a bit and Jiraiya came and quietly told me to follow him. He summoned a frog and said frog transformed into a bar. I was told to hide behind the counter and wait. I did and I heard two people come in and they started to talk about how Pain never stops the rain. Then Jiraiya revealed himself and the frog house turned back into a frog and the interior became the stomach like. It was admittedly creepy. I sat in my spot as Jiraiya started to interrogate the people trapped in the wall. Then I heard laughter from one of them as Jiraiya tickled one of them with a feather, I sweat dropped at the sight. When that didn't work, he turned one of them into a frog and was about to turn the other one into a frog as well. Then he confessed that we'll find Pain in the highest tower in the west or that's at least what he's heard of. Then Jiraiya continued to question him.

Fifteen minutes had passed and Jiraiya excused himself outside the stomach for a few moments. The ninja had tried convincing me to help release him, but I ignored him. I just waited for Jiraiya's return. When he did, he immediately took over the body of our prisoner and I just stood up. We walked out of the toad's stomach, standing on water. Jiraiya was giving final instructions to the toad before it swam away. I had erased my physical appearance before I exited the toad and I kept up the jutsu and followed Jiraiya as he jumped above.

We walked in the large tower, I summoned Benihime once more and kept her in hand as we walked into a large room. I jumped away from Jiraiya as a storm of origami paper hit Jiraiya, wrapping themselves around said man. The top half a purple hair woman, Konan, appeared in front of him and readied a spear using the paper and was about to stab him. Jiraiya came out of the shadows and used flame bombs. A fire style jutsu.

Then the two of them began to converse, as if they were friends or at last Jiraiya did. The prisoner's body hunched over and coughed, he informed the angel that Jiraiya was the intruder. She only told him to get out of the way and he did with great haste. Konan floated higher up and used the origami papers to form angel wings behind her back. She then said that her god has given the order to kill him and let her paper fly at him like bullets. He countered her with a fire jutsu, but it was useless as the papers broke through, Jiraiya prepared another attack and structed, squirting oil onto her, and using a jutsu making his hair grow and tying Konan in place. The two continued to talk and Jiraiya continued to press for answers. Then a boy with orange hair and Rinnegan eyes appeared. Jiraiya introduced him as Nagato. Said boy used summoning jutsu to summon a crab, it summoned water into the room and while Jiraiya jumped onto the wall, I teleported behind Nagato and when I arrived, he didn't notice my presence at all. Nagato commanded Konan to fall back and he attacked using his summon (the crab). Jiraiya trapped Nagato in the wall using his hair. Then Jiraiya once again asked for answers. He got them alright, but he seemed shock to hear them I could tell from his eyes he was comparing them to when they were still innocent children.
