Back at the Konohagakure Gate (few days later)...

I walked up to the gate to see that the guards were sleeping again... I sweat dropped at the sight. But non the less I woke them up and informed them that I had returned. They welcomed me back and I thanked them. I first went to see Hiruzen, so of course I teleported there.

"-the mission became C rank to A ranked." I heard someone finished as I appeared in the room.

"Ah, sorry. Hello Kakashi, Hiruzen. How've you been?" I asked and they sweat dropped at me.

"While you were gone, Kakashi and his team went on a C rank mission that turned out to be an A Rank mission. He was reporting to me, just now." Hiruzen explained.

"I see... is there any reason as to why I should be concerned?" I asked.

"Chakra of the nine-tails leaked out of Naruto while he was fighting. We're worried if the seal on Naruto is weaking or not." Kakashi answered.

"Don't worry the seal isn't weakening." They looked at me in confusion. "It seems like the tailed-beast within him gave him chakra in order to fight."

"What do you mean?"

"What I mean is that the tailed beast probably didn't want to die because if Naruto dies, so does it. And knowing that fact, it lent Naruto some of its power to survive." They gave an 'oh' expression. I paused for a moment. "Wait a minute, why on earth would that happen in the front place." I stared at Kakashi, waiting for an answer.

"Ah well," Then Kakashi pulled out a dark grey scroll from his pouch and handed it to me. Zabuza. "The rouge ninja Zabuza from the village Hidden in the Mist asked me to give this to you and told me to tell you thank you for everything." I rubbed my thumb on the smooth crisp paper and gave a sad smile.

"Thanks. This explains everything, who knew that pig would decide to hire ninja to kill a civilian though..." I put the scroll into my pouch and gave out a sigh. "Hiruzen as we all know the Chuunin exams are coming up, do you require anything from me pretraining that. I'll be more than willing to help out." Kakashi excused himself before Hiruzen could answer.

"I don't believe there is, Lady Ayumi."

"I see. Then I'll just help out here or there." I stopped smiling. "Lord Hokage, I have a bad feeling pertaining to the Kazekage." Hiruzen focused his eyes on me, knowing that I never call him formally like that.

"How so?"

"When I was residing in the Hidden Sand Village, on my final week, I noticed that the Kazekage had a different air around him. Like he was a completely different person altogether." I explained. "It's best to have your guard up around him." He nodded.

"I understand." Hiruzen paused, before adding. "Then how about you watch the Kazekage's children during their stay here? You can report back to me if there's anything unusual in their actions."

"When are they arriving?"

"Today I believe." I nodded.

"Interesting..." I said my goodbyes and teleported out of the room to a spot closely located to where Naruto located at. I heard,

"You!" I looked towards the source of the voice and saw Konohamaru being lifted by his collar and about to be punched by... Kankuro! I immediately teleported between the two and grabbed Kankuro's wrist and caught the stone that Sasuke had thrown from his tree.

"Now, now Kankuro, there's no need for violence." I smiled. The children looked at me in shock at my sudden appearance. "And Sasuke please get down from that tree... that also include you Gaara." They did what I asked of them and I let go of Kankuro's wrist as he dropped Konohamaru.
