Sylvester

It got late and I got tired as I decided to work the whole day with Rico. It took me Alot of strength and whiskey to actually handle business but I got it done. "where did you go in the morning?" I asked Rico remembering that he disappeared before I woke up. "what do you mean?" he asked as he sipped his coffee.

"around 9am I woke up this morning and called out for you but you weren't there so I went back to sleep, where'd you go?" he looked at me once more and placed his drink down.

"I was with Nicole"
"why?"
"she's my friend"
"bullshit, what's the real reason Rico"

He sighed and I knew that the next sentence that would come out of his mouth would make me upset. "okay but promise me that you won't get mad" he said in a calm voice. "Rico speak" I said irritated with already. "okay, firstly she is my friend Sully and secondly promise me that you won't get mad"

I had no reason to get mad, I understood that he had grown found of Nicole as a friend bur it made me feel upset knowing that she could talk to him but she couldn't give me the time of day. Rico and I were practically the same, he kept this life away from her as much as I did but she couldn't even look at me.

"I promise" I lied and he knew it as well. He sighed at me as he knew he couldn't control the way I would react after what he had to say. "Kevin's back" he said and I was confused. "who?" I asked as I did not recall who Kevin was and why he had any importance to me. "Hunter, Kevin Hunter. The cop who has been trying to take us down"
"many cops try to take us down, what makes him important?"
"well this one is doing a pretty good job at it"
"please get to the point"

Rico slammed his hands on the kitchen counter as he was getting frustrated "listen to me, Hunter. Does that surname not ring a bell?!" he asked and I thought about it carefully as it finally hit me. "wasn't he supposed to marry that nosey cop or something?" I asked as I grabbed my glass and took a sip of the cool whiskey that I contained.  "yes he was, but then there was that night where the Feds pulled up to the mansion armed and ready to take you down, but we got the tip before hand and well one thing lead to another and she died trying to get you behind bars." Rico said as I remembered that night clearly.

"okay Rico, why are you telling me this, this has no importance to me, what does this have to do with Nicole? " I asked and Rico sighed. "we took away someone important to him that night"
"well his fiance shouldn't have been nosey"
"Sylvester listen to me. We took away someone very important to him, someone he loved. We took away a special piece of his life that day -"

"Rico I really do not care, please get to the point" I said cutting him off.  " I went to see Nicole today and when I started talking to her, he was there. He had her phone and came to give it back to her, they were together Sylvester" Rico said and I placed my glass back down onto the table in anger.

"she's talking to the Feds?!" I shouted in disbelief. "I don't know, she told me they were just friends and that he was nice to her"
"bullshit! There's no ways he's just nice. Do you think she's fucking him?!" the thought of her being with another man brought anger into my body, she wouldn't be dumb enough to be with a cop.

"now that is not my business and nor is it any of yours" he said but I was upset. Of course it was my business, Nicole was mine and I could not let some cop take her from me. "Sylvester look, I didn't tell you this to make you mad-"
"too late"
"i told you because I'm worried for Nicole. She doesn't know Hunter the way we do, she doesn't know his history. He could be using her to get to you, hell he could be working for another family who have him on their payroll. He's a Fed and could be working with a rival family , do you know understand that." Rico said with genuine worry in his tone.

I knew he cared about Nicole even after everything that has happened, he always had her best interests in heart but it's been two years. Two whole years without her, without her scent, without her love and that made me feel anger. "she's a grown woman she can do what she wants, she can fuck whoever she wants even a damn cop, she's not my problem no more and she's not yours either" I let out in anger making Rico look at me weirdly.
"what?!"
"you heard me Rico."

"are you-" he began but was cut off by a knock at the door. He went to open it and left me with my drink. I could tell by the softness in the voice that it was a female at the door but who would come at this time without me knowing.

"hey is everything okay?" I heard Rico ask as I tilted my head to try and examine who was at the door but I had no luck.

"Uhm no, I was wondering if Nicole was here by any chance, she didn't come back home and she isn't answering her phone, I called her boss but he said she didn't come in today" the female said making me move from the chair and walk towards the door. "Olivia, what's wrong?" I asked as her as she looked scared but once she saw me that fear turned into anger immediately.

"is Nicole here?" she spat making me role my eyes. "no, but I'm sure she's with Mr cop, ask him" I said making Rico hit me. "Kevin said he last saw her with Rico at the Cafe" Olivia said in a less aggressive tone. "listen I know you two aren't on the best terms but please, my best friend is missing please help me find her" Olivia asked with genuine fear in her voice, she didn't know what to do.

"Rico track her phone and then Olivia will leave once your down" I said as I turned my back towards the two and went back to the kitchen to grab a drink. "Uhm Nicole destroyed that phone two years ago incase you tried to track her down" she said leaving me hopeless. "it's okay, I placed one in her bag the last time I saw her" Rico said and I smiled.

Rico grabbed his computer and sat down as he searched for Nicole. "Uhm boss, you have to see this" Rico said as he stopped typing. I walked over to him and stared at the screen in disbelief. "you found her!" Olivia said with so much joy but she had no idea where Nicole was. "why the hell is she there?!" I asked Rico in confusion, why was she there it made no sense. "pull up the road security cameras from the street where you two last talked." I told Rico as it didn't make sense, it didn't add up.

Rico pulled up the footage and we watched it. There Nicole was, getting out of the car and walking to her job but before she could get there she was sedated and grabbed into a van before it left. "They fucking kidnapped her!" I yelled as I threw my glass at the wall.

"no! Why would anyone kidnap her!" Olivia was in pain as she watched her best friend get kidnapped. "Rico where the hell is she?!" she asked as she had no clear idea of where the location was. But I knew and so did Rico.

The moment we realized where she was I knew that it was my fault. They took her because of me.

"The Lucchese's have her" I sighed out. My sweet, innocent Nicole was taken by a rival gang because of me.

Nicole

I woke up with a pain in my neck and with my body tied down to a bed with my back against the bed rest. "where-where am I?" I asked out as I slowly regained conscious. I wanted to know where I was and why I was here. "well well well Ms Hues, you're finally awake" a strange man said as he approached me. " why am I here, what did I do?" I asked in confusion.

"well Ms Hues, it's not about what you did, it's about what you're going to do for us and to your boyfriend Sylvester Gravano"  the man said I immediately felt sick to my stomach. I was in this mess because of him.
