"Kevin" she said. Hearing his name come out of her mouth made me angry but I refused to show it. Instead I stepped aways from her and left to my room. For a split second I thought she'd run after me and stop me from leaving but she didn't. She stayed in her room which made me feel worse.

For the longest time I've just wanted Nicole and for her to want me the way she used to and last night that's exactly what I thought was happening. Her letting go of all her hate and disgust for what I do and being true to herself and to me about what she really wanted, but that was not the case, because the moment she lets her guard down she finds a way to build it back up to block me out.
Which made me question how she truly felt and whether or not she was falling in love with Someone else. A bloody cop for that matter.

I got to my room and decided to take a shower and get ready to handle the business that was yet to come now that Alberto's death is out there. I got dressed and walked downstairs to find Nicole and Papa in the kitchen in silence.
I could feel Nicole watching my every move which made blocking her out difficult. I needed to focus and the more I try to build a relationship with Nicole I get distracted, which is why my Father disliked her the most, because she was a distraction and distraction bring out our weaknesses which was her. That's why Alberto came after her, because she was my weakness.

My father and briefly talked about Alberto and business while Nicole was there. Then he asked whether or not she'd still have to live with us. The only reason Nicole was here because of Alberto and now that he's dead she wouldn't be in much danger.
Alberto was the only Mafia boss who tried to get to me by using someone I love but he failed. No other boss would be dumb enough to even attempt such after this.

Nicole had no reason to stay here anymore and I knew she was relieved by the thought. I had no reason to force her and I had no intention of doing so. Having Nicole this close made it easier to make sure she stayed far away from any mafia related danger.

At that realization I decided to leave the kitchen but Nicole followed 'Sylvester?" She said but I had no response for her. "Sylvester" "Sylvester Gravano stop!" She yelled and stopped. "Seriously are we back to the silent treatment again?" She said clearly annoyed, she had no idea of how her influence in my life drove me crazy and how hard it was to keep myself from her.
But the moment I got to be with it she ruins it with her guilt and brought up Kevin. I had no response for any of it, I couldn't bring myself to say anything to her, not after that. I turned to look at her hoping to get a sentence out but nothing, so I just turned and walked away.

I went upstairs to fetch Rico and we drove down to one of the franchises where the meeting was being held to discuss the Luchesse and where they stand now that their Boss is dead. Rico and I drove in silence for a few minutes until I got frustrated with him. " For fuck sakes Rico just say whatever is on your mind, I can feel your eyes on me!"
Rico had been staring at me ever since we got into the car. "I just find it strange. You never drive to work, I'm always the one driving and now you wanted to drive" he let out. He was right I Never drove, unless it was an emergency which it wasn't right now.
"It's my car I can drive it whenever I want Rico" I said with a rough chuckle.

"I know that, but I mean First you and Nicole are making up, then you are no longer talking to her and now you're driving" he said listing out the current events that we're taking place in the morning. " Your point being?"

"What happened with Nikki, why aren't you two speaking, actually why aren't you speaking I thought you'd be better after last night." He said and honestly I would feel better if Nicole wasn't thinking about another man after we just made love.

"Whatever happened between Nicole and I is non of your concern Rico. You should focus on what's next to come now that Alberto is gone. Nicole will leave and we carry on as if she did not come back after 2 years." I said with a strong tone. This was the plan now.
"I know that Nicole leaving isn't something you want Sully "Rico said and I scoffed. " You do not know what I want Rico"

"Sadly I do and you know it" he laughed as he moved deeper into the car seat with his back. "She said his name, today when she was rambling on about mistakes, I tried to kiss her but she said his name" I let out and Rico fell silent. Rico knew me better than anyone and maybe he was right about me not wanting Nicole to leave, but it seemed to be one of the best things to come out of Alberto's death.
