Nicole

"nope we're going to meet up with Kevin" I said with excitement in my voice, but Rico didn't seem impressed. "I  don't like this, you know Sylvester wouldn't like it"
"i know and that's why he thinks I'm going to see my dad, all you have to do is keep quiet and not tell him"

We got into the car and started to drive. I thought it would be a quiet drive, I would have liked that but sadly, Rico was just judging me the whole way. "come on don't you think you owe him the respect of not lying to him constantly, I thought you two were fixing your relationship?" he asked Which made me sigh.

Yes we were kind of fixing things but on an acquainted level,nothing more than that. "don't you think this would hurt him, I mean you two had the best relationship and you're willing to throw it away just like that for a cop?"
"yes Rico, we had the best relationship, key word there is had, as in past tense as in, long gone. Our relationship was built off of lies and secrets for God knows how long. That's not the type of relationship I need and want, Atleast Kevin is honest with me" Rico knew all the details of my relationship with Sylvester, he knew how messy it would of ended yet he still tries to push it.

"he loves you Nikky and I know you, you wouldn't let one bad secret ruin everything, if that was true you wouldn't of kissed him yesterday " he said as he finally pulled up at the Café. I couldn't help but wonder about what he said.

Was he right, Rico was known for being the wise one, he was the most reasonable person and understanding, he knew he better than Sylvester ever did and he knew what I needed before anyone. He always had my back and I appreciated that about him the most.
He was like a big brother to me, always looking out for me but right now I couldn't tell whether he was speaking to me as a brother figure or as Sylvesters wing man.

We walked into the Cafe together and he started to tense up we as we saw Kevin waiting for me at an empty table. "Heyyyy!" he said with a huge smile making me blush. He stood up and gave me a hug and a small kiss on the cheek.
"I didn't know you were bringing company?"
"it's sort of a have to, he'll sit at another table tho, right Rico" I glared and he rolled his eyes before heading away

Sylvester

As I sat in my office I received an email on my laptop. Once I opened the file I instantly got angry. "you've got to be kidding me!"

So instead of taking care of her yourself, you sent her to be protected by a police officer, I guess you're weaker than I thought you were.
Her blood will still be on her hands

I threw my glass at the wall, how could she lie to me and how could Rico not tell me the truth. I knew letting her go was a bad idea, they are even more closer to her and she doesn't even know it.

I picked up my phone and started dialing Rico

"Boss?"
Get Nicole and get here now!
"is everything okay, boss?"
No Rico everything is not okay, the fucking Lucchese is there
"Yea boss"

'm so sick of this, everytime I think I'm making progress with Nicole she does something stupid.

15 minutes later

"unbelievable Rico, I was still busy!" I heard an angry Nicole as she entered the house. "Sylvester needed us to get back, you'll see Mr Detective another day" Rico said as she was about to walk away but he stopped her and directed her to the kitchen where I was. "No she won't, Rico want to inform me about your little field trip to the Cafe?" I said in a harsh tone.

"no, he doesn't I went to see my dad that's all" Nicole interrupted making me chuckle. "Rico"  I said once more and Nicole stared at him. Hoping he wouldn't tell me the truth. "she wanted to see Kevin, I should of told you earlier" he sighed making Nicole angry "you big snitch!" she yelled punching Rico in the shoulder.

"thank you, Nicole leave us"
"don't hurt Rico it's my fault"
"you damn right it is, now leave!"

She left and I slid my phone across the kitchen counter. "this was just now, how did they-" "I don't know Rico, they are closer than I thought, we need to deal with them now, before they get any ideas. Did you set up the meeting?" I asked as I rubbed my hand through my hair. "yes I have, they will be expecting us at the club tonight at 8 sharp"

"good, then we wi discuss how to kill Alberto and end the Luccheses once and for all, he has no one in second command so no one will take over after his death, so if a war were to start we would win without a doubt" Rico passed my phone back to me and I took a look at the pictures one last time. "what do we do about Nicole incase she attempts to sneak out again while we're gone?" Rico asked "leave that to me, I know exactly what to do"

I stood up and went to Nicole's room. "don't you knock?" she hissed at me "it's my house and good news, you're working tonight at the club, someone will show up with your stuff at 7" I said as I was about to leave but she stopped me. "you said I could take my time, why are you rushing me?" she was clearly irrated with me.

"i have business to take care of in the clubs and you clearly can't be trusted alone. So be ready when she comes and don't make me wait" and with that said I left her alone.

It was going to be long and tough night.
