MORE THAN I EVER HOPED Book Two

A surprise visitor

    I woke up screaming from the nightmare. I got to go through this again. My nightmares were under control. I didn't have them as much.
I slammed my fist into the bed. Edward was beside me on the edge of bed. "Another one?" I nodded my head and the tears fell. Edward wrapped his arms around me.

  "It's going to alright Bella." I pulled away and managed a smiled. Not a big one though. "I know something that's going to put a big smile on that face." I looked at Edward confused. "It's a surprise and I'm going to be going to go get it later today. So that means you have to really try and handle being around the family today."

    I gave Edward a glare and crossed my arms cause he knows I hate surprises. Edward starts to laugh and kisses my forehead. "I know you hate surprises but trust me you'll like this surprise. Now can you let dad look at leg and ankle then mom can help you get wash up and changed. While I make you some breakfast."

    I nodded and motion for something to write with. "I really got to see if your sister got your phone." Edward said. He handed me the paper  and pen. I wrote I wanted him to make his famous yummy french toast.  I held up the paper in front of my face then slowly lowered it and gave him my puppy dog face.

    He bursted out laughing. "Swan, if you weren't so damn cute right now. Alright I will make you some french toast." I smiled then wiggle my finger for him to come closer. I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a quick kiss. I mouth thank you to him. "Your welcome!" He told me.

   

 "Now, you don't give mom and dad any problems, ok!" I shook my head and smiled. Edward gave me a quick kiss and walked out. I sat there and waited for Carlisle and Esme to come in. "Good morning Bella how are you this morning?" Carlisle asked me.

  I smiled but not really big. "That bad!" He chuckled. Edward said your nightmares are back again."  I nodded. "Good morning Bella I'm going to go start your bath sweetheart." Esme said as she walked through.
I smiled at her. Carlisle unwrapped my ankle first. "It looks a lot better. I leave this off so you and Esme can clean it." I just nodded.

  Then he went to lift my nightgown to look at my thigh where I was shot. I stopped him by grabbing his hand. Carlisle looked up at me.
"Bella it's alright, I'm not going to hurt you baby girl." As soon as he called me baby girl. I relaxed a little, because I remember him telling me last night that I was like a daughter to him.

    He took the bandages off. The tears started to fall from the memories of last night. Charlie and Renee are still out there and that scares me the most. "I understand Bella, they will catch Charlie and Renee. You'll see, it will be all right." Then how come I have this bad feeling something bad going to happen before it gets better.

    "You ready to go get cleaned up?" I nodded. Carlisle lifted me and carried me to the bathroom. He sat me on the edge of the bathtub. He gave me a kiss on top of the head.  "I will be back when you're down to bandage you back up." I smiled up at Carlisle. When he walked out Esme helped me get on dress and into the bathtub.

  While she was washing my hair I closed my eyes and was trying to relax. But it didn't work. I started to think about what happen last night.

    I quickly open my eyes and started to breath heavy. Esme had her arms around me in a instant.  I grabbed a hold of her arms and gently squeeze them. "It's alright dear. I got you. It's going to be alright, you're safe now." I don't know why, but I took comfort in what she said. For the first time in all these years Esme felt like a mother to me.

    Tears started to release because that was one of the things I have been missing from my life. I reached for her and grabbed on to her like I would if she was my own mother. I buried my head into chest and just lost it then. "Esme is Bella al.." Carlisle didn't finish his sentence.
