November 6th. One of my favorite days of the year. The day I got a niece. If you asked Nicki or Davon they would say it should be everyone's favorite day. Especially Nicki because she is freaking out right now.
"Nicki would you calm down." I told the girl that was pacing the kitchen.
"I am calm. I just really want this day to be good I mean my daughter is turning 5 Rey."
"And it will be. All her favorites are gonna be here it'll be fine. But only if you stop pacing."
"Ok. Ok your right. But speaking of our guest I do not want any drama present understand?"
"Why you telling me this?" I said shocked at accusations of me bringing drama.
"Because I invited Serenity and her friends and your...girlfriend might come so no drama understand?" She asked and I rolled my eyes but nodded. "Great!" She said then left the kitchen.
Everything was set up. Davon was out getting the cake and Lani was upstairs taking a nap so she would be rested. Nicki was making sure the inside of the house was clean and I was helping.
Of course the first ones here were Davon's parents and his siblings. He had one older sister and a little brother.
"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Harris." Nicki said opening the door.
"Hi Nicki." Mrs. Harris said and Mr. Harris said his own greeting.
"Hey sis." Jackie Davon sister said entering the house with her 2 kids after her parents. "Hey."Nic said bringing her into a hug.
"Wassup Nicki." Jerome Davon brother said coming in right after his sister carrying presents.
I said my own greetings after they got situated. Next on the list was my family and Nicki's parents who arrived simultaneously not that it was surprising.
"Mommy!" Nicki yelled when her mom walked in.
"Shhh." I said reminding her that Lani was sleep. As she was talking to her parents I greet my family.
"Hi Ma. Dad." I said hugging them. After greeting them the twins came rushing into me.
"Hi Ney." They said at the same time. Creepy.
"Hi twins. Look at y'all getting bigger and bigger." I said really looking at them. They looked just like our mom as they got older while I looked more like my father.
Next to arrive was of course our buddies from highschool. Tavion and Drew came together. Then Aaron 5 mins later. And finally Marcellus 10 mins after.
"My children." Nicki said hugging all of us. We all laughed after and Nicki went to go wake up Lani. Davon walked into the door while she was upstairs.
"Hey D." I said walking into the kitchen wit him.
"Sup. Nicki upstairs?" He asked and I nodded.
"Ya families out back go out there. I got this stuff." I told him and he said thanks.
I was putting the ice cream and stuff up when I heard screaming from the backyard. I walk out there and see Lani whining.
