"Hello Jimin." He said pulling out his hand which was gladly accepted by the latter.
"I'm Dr. Park. Park Chanyeol."
"Park Jimin."
"Jimin dear." Ms. Ross interrupted the conversation even though it's not like they would have talked further. "I-I actually came here to inform you something."
Jimin frowned. She looked hesitant. She was playing with words, fumbling with her sleeves and most importantly, she wasn't looking him in his eyes.
"What is it, Ms. Ross?"
"Jimin...... it's just that, the principal is sending me to daegu to do some paperwork for opening a new branch there." She paused to look at Jimin's unreadable expression.
"So, I would have to go there for around four weeks. I really don't want to but I can't help it. I hope you will be okay without me. Please don't get mad."
Jimin blinked a few times trying to comprehend what she just said.
"It's okay Ms. Ross. I understand. Don't worry I'll be alright." He smiled. Deepdown, he was actually feeling empty on the thought of Ms. Ross not being there. But he couldn't hold her back, now, could he. She couldn't give all her time to him. She had her own life to struggle through.
The lady responded by pulling him into another hug.
"Thank you Jimin. I promise I'll be back soon." She pulled away, to check her wrist watch. "I gotta go now. Take care and feel free to call me anytime, okay. Don't hesitate to tell anything to Chanyoel. He is really kind and playful. Bye."
After giving him a peck on forehead, he exited the hospital ward with tear packed eyes.
The psychiatrist watched her retreating back before shifting his attention to the small boy in front of him. To be honest, he couldn't believe someone could hurt that boy. He looked very innocent. People nowadays have indeed turned into morons.
Since the day Chanyoel had seen him so panicked over the thought of eating, he couldn't get him off his mind. Little did he know that he would get the opportunity to bring the boy back on track.
"So, Jimin, I guess you might be bored and stuck in a hospital bed. Why don't we do something? Perhaps watch a movie? What do you suggest."
Jimin nodded. "Movie sounds right. Do you have marvel movies? I love them." Jimin was over excited. You can't blame him. Imagine being stuck in a bed for weeks, without doing anything except eating and shitting. Well, he wasn't really eating; just medicines and juice.
The Dr. happily skipped through the corridors to get his laptop from his cabin.
He had decided to make Jimin feel friendly and casual. He shouldn't feel like he is giving any kind of interview to a creepy man who is interfering in his life. No one likes that, not even Chanyoel. So, watching a movie together was just a step towards getting comfortable and frank around each other.
Tucking the laptop in his hands, he hopped into Jimin's room. The said patient was fiddling with in IVI's as if they are some sort of bomb wires.
"I'm back." The brown head announced making the smaller boy look at him."Come on,Which movie? I might have some marvel movies on torrent. Which one would you like to watch?"
"Ummm, I don't know. Maybe 'Thor:Ragnarok'?" Jimin asked while the taller one pulled a steel armchair beside his bed.
"Good choice dude." The laptop was placed on Jimin's lap while all the lights were turned off to create a theater-like look. Chanyoel had dropped the idea of sitting on stool and sat on the bedside table instead to get a proper view.
With the start of the movie, Jimin got absorbed into it. Paying full concentration on the dialogues and characters. He loved Thor. That character was amazing. Strong as well as witty, serious and a bit stupid. It was how he wanted to be. Carefree and lively.
During the whole 2 hours of the movie, giggles and witty comments were thrown in the air. They were literally laughing their asses off. Chanyoel even fell down from the side table but kept crackling over the floor.
To be honest, Chanyoel was paying more attention to Jimin than to the movie. How the younger's mood changes with the change of scenes, his opinions about protagonists, which moments are more likeable, how he laughs whenever valkyrie beats Thor's and Loki's asses. His laugh............
His laugh was very beautiful. Totally mesmerising. The way his eyes bend like crescent moon and cheeks get puffed. The giggles..... They were so rhythmic and that little habit of squirming while trying to hold on his snickers..... bouncing his head and balling his smol first in air when Hella died. Chanyoel's new patient was really beautiful.
Wait............
He is his patient.............
The psychiatrist snapped out of his thoughts and looked at his laptop. The movie had ended. He couldn't believe he literally spent two freaking hours just by staring at a certain someone.
"Hyung."
"Huh...." He didn't even realise that the smaller was saying something.
"Can we watch another one? This one." Jimin said pointing at the thumbnail of a particular movie.
"Of course, but on one condition." Chanyoel replied, getting up from his 'seat'.
"Where are you going?" The smaller asked watching his doctor walking towards the door.
"Just to get some stuff. Don't start without me. I'll be right back."
A few minutes later the said doctor came back, sitting back at his usual spot.
This time, he decided to take advantage of the situation and sneakingly brought a grapefruit near Jimin's mouth. Jimin, being already into the movie, unconsciously, wrapped his lips around the dark purple fruit.
The psychiatrist smiled and kept repeating the act until the bowl was empty. He also fed him some covered with sleeping powder. It was definitely a wrong thing to do. Very wrong but he couldn't let his patient throw up the little amount of food he had consumed.
It was needed, at least until the patient starts eating on his own will.
By the end of the movie, Jimin was fast asleep. The doctor gently changed his sleeping position and rested his head on the pillow.
He looked at the sleeping boy and gulped.
'Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it.'
'Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it.'
Hesitantly he bends down near the smaller face. With a shaking hand and after looking left and right, he placed a quick peck on Jimin's head. After that he bolted out of the room as if the building was on fire. But it was sure that his crimson dusted cheeks wouldn't get unnoticed by other hospital staff.
