Blood

Clear lines of blood dripped down neatly from the deep horizontal cuts.

He never thought that he would be doing this. But there he was, standing in front of his pearl white sink which was now draped in a thick coating of red.

A bold drop of thick red fluid walked over his porcelain skin, leaving reddish translucent tail behind. Slowly it trailed down, to the curve of arm, before joining  the small family of familiar droplets.

Plop.

Another drop did the same.

Plop.

Then another.

Plop.

One more.

Plop.

It was bound to happen.

Plop.

He deserved it.

Plop.

He failed.

Plop.

He would've  died-

"Jin! Hurry up my boy, we are late!" He sighed, washing his blood off his arms along with the blood embraced wash basin.

It had almost been a month since their last visit to Jimin. None of them had neither heard nor received any news about the said boy. Their group had successfully ripped apart. Everyone decided to live alone, away from each other. However, they were still connected with a thin line of hope. And that line was Jimin. They had promised to tell each other each and every news they get related to the boy. That was the only subject they talked about or even cared about.

Jin's mind was definitely not bearing a single bit of all this and thus, he found his only way of relaxation. Through blades. At first the idea seemed crazy but as soon as he tried, his inner self wore the red dipped piece of metal as if it was a part of his body.

Though, the month hadn't been that bad. Not for his dad. The day he came back from hospital he was given the delightful news of his father finding the love of his life. Of course, he was happy. After all the tension it was the only good thing that took place for far.

His soon to be mom actually didn't want him to stay with them. She believed that kids of his age should be responsible and know how to live on their own. Jin was fine with it. If it makes his dad happy then he would do it no matter what. The only thing was that by the way he heard her talking over the phone, it seemed that she didn't like children. Time to time he would feel a bit awkward while talking to her. She would always throw questions like:

Aren't you a grown up boy? Then why are you still living with your father?

Are you not mature enough to take care of yourself?

Haven't you been told that once you turn 19 it is a disgrace to live with parents? People would laugh at you.

To be honest I guess I would have to babysit you throughout my life, wouldn't I?

Whatever, Jin pushed those thoughts away and picked up his dress shirt. Today, Ms. Park aka his new mom had invited them to dinner and his universally handsome dad had planned to propose to her for the wedding. It was the first time Jin would meet her in person and it made him quite nervous.

"You look handsome like always." Mr. Kim complemented wearing an eye blinding smile. Jin responded with a lip tight smile.

"You too. I bet Mrs. Park will die away as soon as we get there." He winked before slipping in the backseat of the car.

"Of course. After all, I'm the father of the one and only world-wide handsome." The older turned on the engine. " And it makes me universally handsome."

"The most attractive forty year old playboy ever." The younger chuckled, not missing the playful glare his father sent to him through the mirror. It was always like that. Fun and goofiness. He was more like a friend than a father.

Jin's mom had passed away while giving birth to him. Since then his father was his everything. No matter how much pressure he bore, that comforting smile never left his place. And it never failed to make him feel special. Even after being the owner of one of the finest chains of restaurants of South Korea, he never neglected his son's presence and gave him a normal childhood like everyone else gets. Despite not having a mother.

Jin had made a mindset to repay his father for the kindness he had shown. To do something in return for all the tears and sweat he had shed. That's why, he was going to take over the restaurant- The  Eternity- even though he wanted to be a-

"Wish me luck kid." Mr. Kim said as the car stopped in front of a decent looking house. He fixed his hair in the mirror and started looking over his outfit, making sure that everything was perfect.

"You look like a teenager taking his girlfriend on his first date." Jin chuckled, fixing his dad's necktie from behind.

"My nervousness is at its peak and all you can do is to pass witty comments?" He whined. "At least, give me some tips!"

They hopped out and made their way towards the front door. "My best advice is to carry a bundle of tissues with yourself." He said as his father pressed the bell.

"Why?"

"Just in case a miraculously flying drink lands on your universal handsome face."

That earned him a smack on the back of head before the door opened revealing a smiley Ms. Park in red satin one piece.

"You are late." She said, taking a glance at her wrist watch. The universal handsome hesitantly nodded rubbing his nape.

"Well, sometimes being late increases the value of a guest." The man replied.

She scoffed, waving her hand as an indication for them to come in. "Not this time Kim."

They sat on the couch while the dinner was being prepared by butlers. Ms. Park sat beside Jin's dad, too close. From Jin's perspective she was almost sitting on his lap completely ignoring the 19 year old's presence.

They were flirting shamelessly, well, at least Ms. Park was. She was acting very cheesy, not even sparing a glance at Jin, as if he doesn't exist while his father's face clearly displayed the embarrassment and uncomfort he felt.

"Excuse me." Jin cleared his throat. "May I know where the restroom is?"

Ms. Park gave him a hard glare as if she wanted to bury him six feet deep. She rolled her tongue over her lips before wearing a forced lip tight smile.

"It's next to the staircase. That brown door over there."

Jin politely bowed, taking leave from the couple. As he reached near the stairs, a faint muffled sound reached his ears. He turned around only to see the door below the stairs being banged harshly.

'Is this house haunted?'

He glanced left and right before taking a step ahead. His dad was busy with Ms. Park. Swallowing a big gulp he pulled the door open with trembling hands.

What he saw made his skin turn inside out. Face got ghostly pale and eyes almost popped out of sockets in fear.

"D-dad" he stuttered.

"DAD!!!!!!!"
