ROBYN
Boom, boom, boom!
The door of the office literally shakes. What does this person want?
I shut the notebooks and folders sprawled on the desk. I am currently adding up our profits and making sure all our money is in place and not a penny is missing.
I go over to the door and open it to see Ty's tall frame standing at the door.
"What is it Ty?" I ask him, getting a little annoyed that I was interrupted.
"We got a message from your sister, she said its serious." He says. That alerts me. What could it be?
"Did she say what it is?" He shakes his head no.
"Is she still on the phone?" I ask.
"He shakes his head again. "Nah, she said to come to hospital. Bonez is there too."
Reyna. Something happened to Reyna.
"Call her back and tell her I'll be there in less than twenty minutes." I rush over and grab my keys and my bag. I grab all the paper work and stuff them in the bag.
"You need me to drive you?" He asks but I say no. He dismisses himself and goes back to whatever he is doing.
I hop in the car and call King immediately. He picks up on the first ring.
"King, meet me at the Mount Carmel hospital. Now." He hangs up without saying anything or asking any questions.
Who got hurt? Was it just Bonez? Are they safe? These questions continuously ponder my mind. It's always something. Ther'es no such thing as a normal day for any of us. We can never get any peace.
I meet King at the hospital and we ask about Reyna and Bonez.
"For Brandon Curry, he's currently being checked out. He should be getting stitched up from the bullet that swiped his hand. Nothing too overwhelming." The lady chuckles and smiles.
"What about the girl he came in with? Reyna Taylor."
The lady goes back to her computer and looks back up to us. "Fortunately she is not hurt. She registered Mr. Curry in here. She should be around the waiting room on the second floor, by room 304 A. Right around the corner from the bathrooms."
"Thank you so much." I say to her. King and I get on the elevator and I speak up.
"If she's not hurt then why did she call?"
"Was she the one who swiped Bonez's hand with a gun?" He suggests.
"What would she be doing with a gun anyway?" I shake my head out of irritation.
"I guess we'll find out soon."
And she better have a good explanation too. I say in my head.
We find Reyna sitting on a chair with her hands over her face. She looked up when I say her name. She looks frightened and small. Her legs are up to her chest on the chair. She looks like how she looked like when we got the news my mother passed away. Small and fragile.
I'm surprised she's not crying. Reyna's a strong person, but she's been breaking down more often then usual.
Seeing her like this scares me. This has to be something big.
"Whats going on?" I rush over to her side.
"There was someone at the house while I was there. I thought it was them, that's why I got a hold of the gun to protect myself. I thought Bonez was the person I almost shot Bonez in the stomach if he didn't move fast enough."
