 Two days later...

REMI

BzzzzzzzBzzzzzzzzI wake up to my alarm ringing. I throw the pillow over my head. I hate Mondays. I hate school. Five tiring minutes later, I go over to Reyna's bed and shake her awake.

She squirms and goes back to sleep. I shake her again, think time pinching her little.

"Ouch." She says sitting up straight and swatting me on the arm.

I go to the bathroom and shower and brush my teeth. Fifteen minutes later, I wrapped my towel tightly around my body and tip toe back into the room. Reyna is still not up. It's so annoying, having to wake her up every morning. She never gets up.

I grab a pillow and mushed her in the head with it. She groans but doesn't wake up. I shake her, until she pushes me off of her.

"Will you stop? Gosh." She yanks the covers back.

"You do know today's Monday, right? That means we have school to attend. SO WAKE UP!" I raise my voice.

"You do know that I don't care, right? I'm not going to school, so leave me alone and let me sleep." Reyna sneers at me. I shrug and go to the closet to look for something to wear. I pull out a flowy floral dress and gold sandals, since the weather is good outside.

I slip the dress on and put my hair in a high bun on top of my head. I put a pair of pearl earring in my ear and a simple gold necklace. I never really wear make-up, so I don't bother putting any on. And if I do wear make-up, it's only eyeliner or mascara. Nothing heavy.

I gloss my lips as Reyna's snores fill the room. I roll my eyes. She knows Robyn's not going to let her stay home, so she might as well get up now before we miss the bus.

I grab my bookbag and leave the room. I smell breakfast and allow my nose to follow the smell.

Robyn's up and placing bowls of oatmeal and glasses of orange juice on the table. She looks up and smiles. "Good morning, ReRe! You look cute, who you trying to impress at school?"

I laugh while she raises an eyebrow at me. I sit down at the table and begin eating. I really appreciate Robyn for waking up at six every morning to cook us breakfast. She doesn't have to do it, but she does. She knows how disgusting school lunch can be. She even packs us lunch sometimes.

I thank her for making breakfast and she continues to smile as if she doesn't have a care in the world. Which is what I love the most about her. She's always smiling even though the situation we're going through isn't a happy one.

"Where's Reyna? She's not ready yet?" She asks me while washing the dishes in the sink.

I didn't even think about it before I answer her. "Sleeping." I was tired of always lying for Reyna and me getting in trouble for her. I'm not going to be her puppet anymore. She can't force me to lie for her anymore.

Robyn furrows her eyebrows and leaves the kitchen. Not a minute later, I hear Reyna screaming and Robyn yelling back at her.

She comes out of the room, huffing and puffing. "Hurry up and take a shower and get ready. Breakfast is on the table. The bus comes in twenty minutes. Hurry!" Robyn says calmly. She never really yells at us, unless it's serious.

Even through her calmness, I can tell Reyna's taking a toll on her. She's taking a toll on everybody. I don't know why she is rebelling all of a sudden, but she needs to stop. There's no need for the attitude and drama. She still needs to apologize to Robyn for what she said to her on Saturday night when she came home from the party.
