Elanor woke early the next morning to the sound of someone else bustling around her bedroom. "Sorry to wake you, my Queen, but we have to go to Rivendell." Tauriel spoke softly as she finished gathering what she needed. "Rivendell..?" Elanor questioned. Tauriel understood Elanor's confusion, "Yes Rivendell, we're taking you there to see Lord Elrond who will hopefully restore your memories.."

The ride to Rivendell was not long, only a days travel. Elanor felt lucky to be able to go on a horse as it would've taken ages to travel there by foot. "Welcome to Rivendell." Elanor heard an elf say as he put a hand to his chest. "I must urgently speak to your King." Thranduil demanded and Elanor could easily tell that the other elf was scared of him.

"I'm afraid he's not here at the moment." The elf, later known as Lindir, replied solemnly. "May I ask where is he then?" Elanor smiled at Lindir. Just as those words escaped her lips, Lord Elrond and a few of his guards rode back into Rivendell. "What brings you here, Thranduil King of Mirkwood?"

"My wife." Lord Elrond immediately turned to face Elanor. "We meet again.." He replied softly as he smiled at her. They began to walk away from the other elves and Lord Elrond asked another question. "I heard you vanished.. then you suddenly reappeared. What happened?" Elanor stopped and looked back up at Lord Elrond. "You'll think I'm stupid.." she muttered. "I won't unless you tell me."

Elanor brushed her hand across the branch of a silver tree. "One minute, I was falling asleep in Mirkwood.. then I woke up in another body in another place, called Scotland." Then made eye contact and Elanor carried on. "I went to school then when I walked back home through the wood behind my house, I found something.."

"What did you see?"

"I saw a strange ball of light. It felt as though it was calling to me.. so I walked closer and then reached out to touch it. As I did, I felt a pain stretch across my whole torso as I was transported back here." Elanor finished. "Do you remember who we are?" Lord Elrond questioned as he turned back to face Elanor. "I-I remember the King and partly his son. I'm sorry, I don't remember you at all-"

"-This is why I came to you." Thranduil interrupted. "Help me restore her memories."

"It wont be an easy task.." Lord Elrond confirmed looking hastily towards Thranduil and Elanor. "And we will most likely need help." Thranduil turned to face Elanor, "I will do anything to get her memories back."

"Follow me."

"What do you mean.. we'll need help?" Thandruil asked as he followed Lord Elrond deeper into Rivendell, Elanor trailing behind. "Her memories may have been blocked." Lord Elrond concluded as they reached a secluded room. "And from what she said, I think she was in another dimension."

"Another dimension..?" Thranduil worried. "Yes... that's why we need to find out what happened." Just then a figure appeared. "Lady Galadriel."

"I heard that my daughter is alive." Galadriel spoke softly as she walked closer to Elanor who was standing behind Thranduil. "It is true. But she doesn't remember anything." Thranduil intervened. "We will do our best to bring her memories back." Elanor heard the angelic voice of the elleth is the room.

"What are they going to do to me?" Elanor questioned as she interlaced her fingers with Thranduil. He was shocked as he looked at their fingers and Elanor immediately drew them apart. "They want to help restore your memories."

"Don't worry. We will not hurt you, lellig (my daughter)." Galadriel hummed as she walked closer to Elanor. Elanor initially steps back unsure of whether she can trust them or not. "Just give me your hand." She folded her orders and gave Galadriel her hand. Elanor was guided to a single bed and as she lay her head Galadriel mumbled some incomprehensible words sending Elanor into a trance.

Unlike the last time, Galadriel deeped further into Elanor's mind. Elanor saw the first time she rode a bike with her sister Celebrian cheering her on, to the fight time she killed an orc and celebrated with her father, to the time she first met Thranduil and how they fought orcs together and how he rode her back to Lothlorien, to when she gave birth to their little leaf. Then Elanor saw, the day she died. She heard Thranduil scream, "Aredhel" to her as she was taken by a group of orcs into Gundabad. Her name. Aredhel.

Then he memories stopped before her eyes with a single tear escaping from the corner of her left eye. Her head started to hurt and she passed out with Thranduil stopping her from falling.

"Aredhel..?"

Thranduil felt an arm on his shoulder, "It was to be expected that she would pass out. Don't worry.. she'll come around soon."
