Miraculous Slumber Party

~Chapter 8~

"Does that feel better?" the doctor questioned as Marinette cautiously moved her hand around.

She nodded and smiled broadly at the weary doctor, who obviously had been working for a long time that day.

"It is a teeny bit sore but definitely better! Thank you!" Marinette grinned, still wiggling her hand.

The doctor ushered them out and pointed the way to the exit. Only when they got into the hallway did they realize they were still holding hands.

Adrien coughed nervously and opened the door to the exit, slightly reluctant to pull away from her soft touch.

Marinette rubbed her arms as they walked through the brisk air, "It's definitely gotten colder."

Adrien nodded and peered over to the blue haired girl, Plagg tugged at his shirt and he looked down to see Plagg motioning to Adrien's jacket.

"Oh right!" he whispered quietly and shrugged off his jacket and held it out to his 'friend', "Take my jacket."

Marinette blushed, "Oh no Adrien! I don't want you to get cold!"

"I'll be fine," he said smiling at her, The car isn't that far down the road."

Marinette tried to push the jacket back to him but he refused, "The mansion does get cold a lot. I'm quiet used to it."

Giving him a small sheepish grin. She stopped and as he gently placed the jacket over her shoulders, his hand slid down her arm and Marinette instantly froze at his touch.

Luckily he didn't notice and said to her kindly, "I don't want you getting cold Marinette."

Marinette stared longingly into those gorgeous green eyes she had loved for so long.

For a moment they stared at each other, they were both blushing slightly but neither noticed the other's pink cheeks.

Linking arms with her, the blond boy started walking back to the car.

"That jacket suits you," he said.

Marinette's face lit up, "Stop you!" and she shoved him playfully.

The bluenette started giggling and the model shoved her right back.

"Adrien!" she squeaked, "I almost fell in that puddle!"

Adrien laughed and started running towards the limo down the street, "Race you Dupain-Cheng!"

"I'll get you Agreste!" Marinette squealed, sprinting to catch up with her crush.

Panting, Adrien stopped at the limo. He had no idea Marinette was that fast. She was standing by the door and had beat him by only milli-seconds.

"Told you!" Marinette said, trying to catch her breath.

Adrien grinned and opened the door for her, "M'lady."

Both of them tensed reflectively and Adrien shut the door.

Did he just call me M'lady? Marinette thought, I'm only used to Cat Noir calling me that!

I just called her M'lady! Adrien said to himself, Cat Noir calls Ladybug M'lady! Not Marinette!

Marinette put her hand in her pocket for her phone. But it wasn't there.

Crap!

"Adrien I lost my phone!" she said quickly before Gorilla pulled out of the curb, "I had it when we left the hospital so it must have fallen out of my pocket when I started running."

"I'll find it!" he said jumping out of the car with Marinette on his tail.

After a couple minutes of searching the footpath Adrien called out to Marinette, "Got it!"

Marinette jogged over to him and he handed the phone back to her.

"Thank you!" she said and they quickly went back to the limo.

The ride back to Chloe's hotel wasn't as bad as the ride to the hospital.

Taking a photo of the two of them, Marinette sent a snapchat to Alya.

Me - Just coming back from the hospital now

Alya💕 - What's up with you hand? With a picture from Nino.

Me - Dislocated, feels better though. A picture of her and Adrien doing thumbs up.

 Alya💕- We are watching a movie right now. Up in the Theater. Fourth floor. A pic of all the class sitting with blankets and pillows.

"Thank you!" Adrien says to Gorilla when he drops them outside the hotel.

Marinette and Adrien briskly walked to get out of the cold night air with Marinette still wearing Adrien's jacket.

Arm in arm they enter the Theater room with Adrien's hearty laugh accompanying Marinette's happy giggle. 

The silence is almost deafening as all the eyes of the class turn to stare at them.

They both blush 50 shades of red and quickly release each other's arms.

Adrien points to Alya and Nino and they shuffle towards Nino patting the place beside him.

Alya raises her eyebrows at Marinette. The two friends linking arms did not go unnoticed by her. Marinette gives her a smile and takes a seat next to Adrien.

Besties! I am so excited for the next chapters!! I have an idea on what is going to happen but I am really excited to share it with you!!
