Thank you @sivistrying for brining to my attention that I have not written this book for 4 months! Now where were we.....

Marinette frowned a small frown as if recognising something and Chat Noir felt her pull away from his embrace.

"Everything okay?" he asked and she turned from him. Chat's heart bet faster. Oh no, I hope I didn't do something wrong. His mind raced as he cautiously watched his classmate curl up into a ball.

"I'm sorry Chat," she said in a whisper barely audible. She didn't want him to think he was the one causing all this confusion in her mind. He smelled like Adrien the fragrance, a smell Marinette knew well.

Plenty of guys wore that perfume but it didn't help that the last time she smelled it was when her and Adrien we cuddling on Chloe's couch.

"What did I do?" He asked and Marinette caught his gaze resting on her face, his eyes glued on hers and the two just stopped and stared for a minute.

"Nothing," Marinette said finally, her mouth dry and her eyes still wet, "It's nothing you can do about or have done." the words that tumbled out of her mouth didn't even make sense to her as she coughed up the thoughts her mind was so focused on.

"He didn't even try! He has a girlfriend and then he leads me on to believe that I could mean something to him. After all these years, after all this time he doesn't even know or even feel the same." Marinette stood up and faced Chat Noir, "I was wrong to bring you into this."

Chat Noir's eyes brimmed with tears. He was the one that had caused to much pain and hurt in his best friend and she was right, he was clueless. until now he just thought she was just a friend. The cursed words he had told himself for all these years, he'd comforted his girlfriend when she asked about it. And now he'd lost the trust of the one person that meant the world to him. His best friend.

"Please go Chat," her voice quavered.

He turned and gave her one last look, he did feel sorry, it was all his fault. she would never trust him as Adrien again.

he looked down to his black covered shoes and watched as a single tear splashed into a little puddle on his toe.

"I'm sorry," he whispered and then extended his pole to leap across the dark night sky.

Marinette collapsed on the ground. Dear sweet Chat had come to comfort her and she had caused him pain too. She had seen the tear that fell from his cheek.

"We best get going Mari," Tikki's small voice said from the bag slung across Marinette's shoulder. The girl nodded and stood up straight.

"Tikki spots on." she said dully.

-10 seconds before-

"Oh Marinette can't get down!" Chat realised and turned back for the Eiffel tower. It would be easier if he carried her down instead of her walking down all those stairs. There had to be at least 900 of them.

As he neared the place where Marinette was sitting he quickly ducked under one of the supporting poles when he heard a zip. A sound he knew well.

His eyes widened and looked towards where it had come from.

That sound, it sounded like...

Ladybug. Her full physique was stretched out and bathed in moonlight as she flew past Chat Noir eyes.

Her black hair looked gorgeous in the moon and she must of turned to face him because before he knew it Chat Noir was staring into her eyes.

Those deep...

Bluebell...

Eyes....
