The days following Gellert's death were long and sad. There was silence in the house all the time. Sarah would spend her days drinking water and crying in her sons bedroom. Grindelwald would pace around outside of the room and in the patio.

Sarah spoke for the first time 14 days after her sons death. She walked out of the bedroom at about midday and sat beside Grindelwald on the sofa.

"Mr Grindelwald, I think we should remove him from the house today."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes and I want you to do it."

"Where should I take him? Should we bury him?"

"No, I want him cremated... take him to this address..."

Sarah passed Grindelwald a piece of paper with an address of a local crematorium.

"Alright, should I take him now?"

"No, you should say some goodbyes to him, I'll go into town and buy some bouquets of flowers."

"Are you sure, you'll be ok going to town on your own? Nobody knows his dead not even Anastasia..."

"I'll drop into work and explain things, I'll resign. I don't feel like I can work anymore."

"Ok, only if you're sure though." Said Grindelwald as he went into his sons bedroom.

Sarah then got her coat and purse and left for town.

Town was pretty quiet. Sarah made her way to a florist and bought 3 bunches of flowers. She got some red roses, some white roses and some lillies. Sarah then paid for them and headed to her job to resign.

She knocked on the door and walked in. Anastasia was there with her sons Deacon and Demetri.

"Oh hello, Sarah what brings you here on your day off?"

"I erm...want to resign from my job here."

"Resign, why?"

"Erm, well...my son...has died and I don't really want to stay here anymore..."

"Oh my goodness, no wonder you've been cancelling his Greek lessons recently...I'm so sorry...Is there anything I can do?"

"No, his father is visiting so I'd just rather stay at home with him and then possibly move away from here...I'll keep in contact the best I can though..."

"Oh, that makes sense I guess...Will there be a funeral for him?"

"I'm not sure, we want him cremated so maybe we will have a wake for him at home, you can come to that if you'd like...It might be tomorrow or in a few days...I'll let you know closer to the time."

"Alright, of course...I'll make sure to inform my mother about your resignation...I'm so sorry, Sarah."

"It's fine... I'll call you later with some more details...Bye..."

"Bye Sarah, good luck."

"Thank you Annie."

After this, Sarah quickly made her way back home to Grindelwald.

Grindelwald was still in the bedroom when Sarah returned home. Sarah decided to make Grindelwald some hot chocolate like he had done for her when she was grieving. She knocked on the bedroom door and she heard Grindelwald say "Come in."

"Hey, I brought you some hot chocolate..."

"Thanks..."

Grindelwald didn't look like he had been crying, he looked just sad.

The relationship between the both of them had been pretty awkward since Gellert's death seen as the last time they were close their son died. Sarah wished that she could kiss Grindelwald, close her eyes and forget everything that was happening. She wished that Grindelwald could fix everything with a kiss just like how he heeled her with a kiss on the check when he first taught her some dark magic spells. Grindelwald felt the same, all he wanted was to be close with Sarah again. He was always at his happiest when he was with her, he wanted to hold her in his arms and apparate away to a random far away place so they could be alone together. He was willing to resign from his teaching job and just be alone with Sarah again like the old days. He would do anything Sarah asked of him if it meant it would make her happy again.

"How are you feeling?" She asked him while crouching down beside him on the floor.

"Sad, I hate that we never really knew each other...I missed so much of his life, my own son didn't even know me..."

"It was my fault...I should have tried to find you more...I should have looked for you instead of waiting here for you..." Said Sarah while putting her hand through Grindelwald's long hair.

"No...I should have been more mature...I was too busy trying to rule a stupid school while ignoring my fiancée and my son...I'm the idiot...I'm the loser...I'm a bad man...If I was you I'd have chucked me out a long time ago..."

"Maybe we are both to blame then...I should have looked for you 24/7 and you should have cared to find me more...you were under the impression that I was dead...nobody can blame you for that Mr Grindelwald."

"Stop calling me 'Mr Grindelwald'. I'm Gellert...The original Gellert."

"I know but it's hard for me...Every time I say it I think of my dead son..."

Grindelwald looked from the boy and then to Sarah. "I know...I'm sorry...I just miss hearing you call me it instead of being all formal and calling me Mr or Sir all the time."

"Sorry...maybe, if you're ready, you could take him to the crematorium..."

"Yeah..."

"While you're gone, why don't I make us some food..."

"Good idea..."

Grindelwald forced a smile and picked up the boy and took him outside.

"Hey, Grindelwald... apparate there...It might look weird if people see you carrying a dead child..."

"Sure."

While Grindelwald was gone Sarah made some food...She didn't know what type of things Gellert would like but she knew he loved cheese sandwiches. This reminded her of their engagement. The picnic. Sarah had the bright idea of making a picnic for Grindelwald for when he comes home. She quickly made a few cheese sandwiches, cut some fruit up and warmed up some cocktail sausages.

After a while Grindelwald returned.
"Hey"

"No...close your eyes please, I have a surprise."

"Ok..." Grindelwald stood by the door with his eyes shut.

Sarah quickly took a blanket outside and laid it on the patio floor. She then quickly put the food on the ground and led Grindelwald to it.

"Take my hand and follow me but keep your eyes shut please."

"I smell food..."

"Good! Now, be careful...There is a step down and I don't want you to fall."

"I'm ok..."

"Ok, now I want you to sit where you are."

"Alright."

"Ok. Open!"

Grindelwald opened his eyes and saw some food on a picnic blanket.

"Aww. A picnic!"

"Yes, I was just going to make us some cheese sandwiches but they reminded me of our engagement so I sort of wanted to recreate it here."

"Aw. That's so lovely. Thank you Sarah."

"No problem. What did the people say anyway?"

"They said it will be ready tomorrow..."

"Ok, I should tell Anastacia about it later, I said I'd call her later. I was thinking of doing a wake for him to honour his life."

"Good idea, Miss Mitchell."
