Part 9

The next day was the wake of Gellert Mitchell. Grindelwald had woken up early and gone to the crematorium to collect Gellert's aches. Sarah stayed home and made some food for Anastasia and her family for when they arrive for the wake later on in the day.

"I have it here..." Said Grindelwald walking through the door.

"Alright, leave it on the coffee table I guess."

Grindelwald placed the ern onto the coffee table and sat and stared at it for a while. He kept looking at the ern and at the chair that he killed baby Richard on 70 years ago. He felt like he needed to grieve for Gellert and for Richard. Both were technically Sarah's sons and both were technically Grindelwald's sons too and they both died. Maybe they died as karma for all of Grindelwald's bad behaviour over the years?

Sarah noticed that Grindelwald was alone and looking sad so she joined him on the sofa. She saw that his hands were on his knees so she grabbed one of them and held it.

"You ok?" She whispered to him.

"Mhm...just lost in though I guess."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah." Grindelwald grabbed Sarah's hand and squeezed it.

"Grindelwald...I just wanted to say...I lov..."

There was a knock on the door, It was Felix along with Oris and Mildred.

"I'll get it" Sarah said quickly.

"Hi guys!" She said answering the door.

"Oh Sarah...It's been so long." Said Mildred. "Me and Oris wont stay long as I assume some No-Maj's will arrive soon but I just wanted to pay my respect to Little Gellert."

"That's fine..."

"I only cameeeee for da food!" Said Oria running inside.

Felix followed Oris inside too. As Felix saw Grindelwald sat on the floor he took his hat off as he approached.

"Hi Mr Grindelwald, The school boards have been asking after you...they want you back at work soon..." Said Felix in his French and English mixed accent he now had. "Sorry for your loss Sir...I tried to explain that you had family issues going on but..."

"It's ok Felix, I'll return to work soon."

Sarah heard this and almost screamed. She didn't want to have Grindelwald leave. She cared for him. She wanted a fresh start with him. She assumed he was on the same page as her.

"Yes Mr Grindelwald." Felix walked away and had a couple sandwiches.

Mildred then moved towards the ern and whispered something that was unaidable to everyone else. She then went to eat some food too.

Sarah stood still near the door, she didn't want to eat, she didn't want to go near Grindelwald. She was very angry. She wanted him to stay with her for good. She didn't want to be alone.

Even Lexi seemed upset as she jumped on Grindelwald's lap and scratched him.

"Ow! Lexi, stop!" He shouted.

Sarah decided that she had to say something.

"Oi, Grindelwald come outside with me."

"Alright." Grindelwald stood up and followed Sarah outside. "What's up." His voice sounded quite dull.

"Are you really going to go back to work so soon?"

"Yes, it's been weeks since I was last there..."

"But what about me? I'll be here alone..."

"I know but I need to spend my time doing something...I have nothing else."
