Chapter 29

Ann-Kathrin's P. O. V.

I walk into the studio and get shoved into lingerie. Then I'm escorted to the shooting location.

Today, I'm shooting with Chris Pine.

I walk up to Chris, "Hello, I'm Ann-Kathrin. "

He nods, "I know who you are. "

I laugh, "Oh yeah?"

He laughs, "Sorry, that probably sounded creepy. But I've seen you linked to Mario Gotze. "

I laugh, "Sometimes"

After the shoot, Chris waits for me by my car. "Ann, will you accompany me to a red carpet event this evening?"

I bite my lip, "I would love too. "

He smiles, "Great. I'll pick you up at your hotel. "

I go to my hotel and decide to take a nap until I need to get ready for tonight.

After a few hours, I wake up and check my phone.

20 missed calls

5- mom
3- sister
4- brother
3- dad
5 - Mario's mom

I immediately call my mom back. She answers right away, "Ann"

I quickly say, "What's wrong? what's happened?"

I can hear my mom crying, "Ann, Mario's been in an accident. You need to come home. "

My lip starts to quiver, "What happened? Is he alright?"

All she says back is, "Come home"
Then the line goes dead.

I jump up and grab my bags, stuffing all my things inside. I'm leaving the hotel when Chris walks up, "Are
you leaving?"

I look at him with tears streaming down my face, "It's Mario. He's been in an accident. I have to fly back to Germany. "

I get in my car and drive to the airport, hopping on the first flight to Germany. And all I do is think about the worst possible scenario.

What happened?
Is he going to be okay?
Was Beckham in the car with him?
Will Mario recover?

Is Mario still alive?
