Ann-Kathrin's P. O. V.
We go inside and sit down with some of the guys from the team and their dates. We sit with Thomas and Mandy, Bastian and his girlfriend and Manuel, who came by himself. Mario leans over and whispers in my ear, "don't let Manuel bother you, okay. " I nod as he kisses my temple. We eat and listen to people make speeches. Then music starts and people start dancing. Mario goes to the bathroom so I'm all alone. Manuel walks over to me, "Ann-Kathrin, would you dance with me?" I nod, taking his hand as he leads me over to the dance floor. A slow song comes on as I dance with Manuel. He looks at me, "Ann-Kathrin, you are very beautiful. " I look away, uncomfortable, "Thank you. "
After awhile of dancing, Mario comes over, "Can I cut in" Manuel sighs, "Sure. " then he quickly walks away. Mario and I start dancing. He looks at me, "What was that about?" I shrug, "He asked me to dance. I wasn't going to be rude and say no. Then he told me I was beautiful. " Mario sighs, "He needs to lay off. " I smile and kiss Mario, then lay my head on his shoulder as we dance.
