Danger is Coming

Soon after hearing Sirius's story, Harri invited him to live with her, Teddy, and Matt. She also shared how Matt came into her life and revealed that Teddy is related to the Salvatore Brothers.

"You have a big heart, Harri. You wouldn't let others suffer like you did back in our world. It's good that Teddy has extra family members, even if they are immortal. Do I get to show Teddy how to prank people?"

"Sure, Padfoot. You're the last Marauder apart from me."

Harri settled Sirius in the room next to Matt's and conjured items for him until they could go shopping. Matt watched in fascination as she created items from utensils and other objects lying around. Sirius felt happy to sense the familiar magic in the air, which provided him with extra energy.

After dinner, Harri retreated to her room to work on her magic and plan the next steps to keep Mystic Falls safe for all its residents, including the vampires, so Teddy could grow up there.

While she was busy, Sirius decided to talk to Matt. Matt was eager to learn more about magic and Hogwarts, as Harri was tight-lipped about her life in London. Sirius shared stories about her dad, her second uncle (Teddy's father), and other good witches and wizards. He also explained the different types of magic. Around 10 pm, they decided it was time to sleep. Sirius needed to feel the magic residue Harri created in the house to regain his full potential. He knew having a wand was pointless and considered asking Harri to teach him wandless magic.

After midnight, Teddy woke up with a whimper, alerting Harri that something was wrong. She carefully crawled out of bed, reached for her cloak, and picked up Teddy. Rocking Teddy quietly, she walked downstairs and sent a Patronus to Sirius and Matt, alerting them to danger. As she walked to the kitchen, she saw a shape in the window near the tree line and instantly drew her magic to create a protective bubble around herself and Teddy. She never let her sight waver from the shape, even when she felt Sirius and Matt behind her. As she took a step towards the window, the shape blurred and disappeared. After a few minutes of holding their breath, they realized the shape was gone.

Turning around, Harri mentioned she had created a room similar to a panic room to hide and plan for potential threats. She suspected a vampire was after them but had no idea why. She believed this vampire was not from their town but from somewhere else.

Feeling they were out of immediate danger, Harri told everyone to get some sleep. Matt had school the next day, and Sirius needed to train. Matt, already sleepy, nodded and made his way to bed. Sirius looked at Harri and assured her he would always be there for her. Teddy snuggled up in her arms.
