Walk the Night

Someone was watching and following Harri as she drove back to the house. She felt eyes on her but couldn't pinpoint who it was, suspecting it might be vampires since the town was full of them.

Deciding to shake off the feeling, Harri thought she might as well catch up on her runes and potions since Matt was out. However, as soon as she walked into her house, she saw that Hedwig was back from hunting. She thought it might be high time to practice her Animagus form, something she hadn't had time for since settling into Mystic Falls. She knew she was a black panther due to her lineage.

With that thought, Harri gathered all her books on the topic and did a quick read-up on her meditation. Making sure her door was fully locked and silenced; she imagined a black panther in her mind. Slowly, her body transformed into a panther. Opening her eyes, she looked at herself in the mirror and inspected all her body parts. Satisfied, she decided to explore her backyard.

She knew the person following her was still on her property. Using her animal form, she stuck to the shadows to see if she could get a good look at him. She made sure not to leave any footprints and moved silently. She knew the town had vampires, and the person stalking her might be one as well.

As Harri crept through the backyard to the front, she sniffed the air. There was no smell, which she found strange since vampires usually smelled like decayed bones. She saw the person sitting on her porch and recognized him as Klaus from the Grill.

Harri pondered what to do, remembering Klaus saying that the Potters had helped his family many years ago. She thought he might have answers to her questions. She decided to watch him for a bit and maybe turn back into a human to talk to him. She knew she couldn't invite him into the house, as once a vampire is invited, they never leave, and she had Matt to look after.

Before Harri could change back, another person walked in front of her house and spoke to Klaus. She didn't know who he was but could tell that Klaus and this person were family. Using her panther ears, she listened to their conversation.

"Brother, here you are, sitting at the Lady's house?"

"Elijah, don't you remember what the Potters did for us when we lost our humanity? They took us in and looked after us even when others turned against us. They helped us not have to drink human blood all the time and helped us be successful for however long we live. We need this Lady Potter on our side; she may help us not rely on human blood again. Plus, she could help me with my wolf side. The world she comes from could be our safe haven."

Listening to the conversation, Harri couldn't help but turn back into a human and walk to where they stood. "I am not going back to the world I come from. I ran from them for a reason, and if I go back, who knows what will happen to me?"

Both Elijah and Klaus turned to her, seeing the moon shining on her. They couldn't help but smile at her bravery, knowing they were vampires. She was dressed in dark pajamas with a cape around her shoulders as the night was very cold.

Harri told them that the Potters had a good investment in blood pops, which could help them with their need for human blood. She promised to research other cures, but for now, blood pops would help.

Walking back to her house, Harri called out to the vampires and said that all vampires in Mystic Falls should come to her house as she needed to discuss what was going on and ensure no more human lives were taken. If the vampires did not come, she would kill them, and she wouldn't need white tree bark as she knew something far stronger and deadlier.

Elijah and Klaus bowed their heads to Lady Potter and decided to round up the vampires for tomorrow's meeting. Lady Potter might be the answer to their suffering, and maybe they could walk again among humans with their gifts.
