Peter's POV:

I know I shouldn't have been texting in class. But I really needed the advice. "Flex time is over!" Mr Hammond said. "I have a project to announce!" I internally groaned. "And it's a group project!" I internally groaned again. "I will be picking your partners." Groan number three.

"Lucas and Miles," he says, reading the names off his sheet. "Alli and Maxie, Kris and Andy, Ned and MJ, Flash and Brandon, Peter and Kate, Kayla and Marla, Mikaela and Mia, Claire and Lia, Felix and Sam, James and Noah, Ana and Vivian, and Will and Percy." He reads off and everyone turns to the direction of their partner. I guess Kate isn't that bad. I've never really bothered to get to know her. "So exchange contact information with your partner so you can get together to work on it, the instructions are on Google Classroom, and if anyone has any questions feel free to shoot me a Loopmail."

I awkwardly shuffle over to Kate and sit down in the chair next to her. "Do you want to meet up sometime?" I suggest and she nods.

"Are you free right after school? I am. We could meet up in the library." She says and now it's my turn to nod.

"That sounds good. The table in the back?" I ask as the bell rings.

"Sounds good!" She yells as she runs out of the classroom.

"Hey Peter." Ned and MJ both say, catching up to me. "You ready for lunch?"

"Of course." I say, my phone dinging.
