------------------------------------------------------

After taking a shower, Nick and Sabrina teleported to the Academy. They were now at the Observatory where Ambrose was measuring the distance of the other cosmos approaching their Earth with Prudence assisting him. He wondered if Prudence would ever forgive Ambrose. They never really talked about him or Sabrina when they got together but he'd like to think that he knew her enough to conclude that she did love the older warlock.

Among all of the unspoken agreements between the two, one was I won't talk about the person who broke your heart if we don't talk about mine. So they never did, besides, talking about feelings wasn't exactly a witch's thing either but they both knew what they were and that's that.

I need time to work it out for myself, was what he told Sabrina when he broke up with her. He wanted to have that sense of control, something he didn't have when he was the flesh acheron for Lucifer. He tried to get back to his old self and he tried his best to occupy himself. Especially to avoid Sabrina as best he could. When he knew Sabrina was elsewhere, he'd go to the Academy's library. Books were always his primary source of comfort. But when he knew she was at the Academy, he went to Dorian's.

"Hey, do you need a hand here?" he remembered him asking Dorian.

The bar owner gave him a look that seemed to be scanning him. "How about your duties to the Academy?"

"I'm not going to stay here full time."

"So, only when Sabrina is at the Academy then?"

Nick raised his eyebrows.

"I'm not an idiot, Nicky." He just said and went silent for a while. He didn't really know what to say as well. Though he considered Dorian his friend, he didn't really want to open up to him. He knew Dorian too well to do that.

"Fine. You can come here and help if you want. You've been here plenty of times to know my policies."

He smiled. "Thanks Dorian."

And he was nothing but thankful, but on the day of Hilda's reception, he paired them up for door duty. He actually wanted to punch him. Just the other day he was cursing after Sabrina and Melvin left. He tried his best to ignore them, even called Prudence for a distraction. And now he was pairing them together. This is why he needed to keep things to himself, he thought.

He tried his best to ignore Sabrina during their duty but before he could stop himself, he was talking to her about Melvin. And he was aware that he was actually being a dick. He didn't know how to deal with jealousy without being one. Just like when he confronted her when he saw her with Caliban. The conversation probably would've gotten worse had the Uninvited not show up. Of course they didn't know who he was but when he headed straight to Sabrina, he instinctively went between them, causing him to be the one to turn him away. He was thankful though that he was the one to do it. Had it been Sabrina to do so, she would've instantly given herself up for them without question. Which unsurprisingly, she did.

He remembered beating himself up for it. When she and the Uninvited teleported to Hell, he turned to Ambrose, asking what they could do to help her. But the older warlock just shook his head and turned to his Aunties. They told everyone not to panic. Zelda instructed the coven to make the mortal guests forget of what just happened and to teleport them home.
