"And this Tobey kid's like, pack your sad crap. And then Theo's, like, this close to beating him down." Harvey, Roz and Theo were telling her and Nick about their encounter with this other band earlier, Stoned Philosophers. She and Nick looked at each other and smiled. With all that's happening with her life, she was thankful that she still had her friends, and after yesterday, she was more thankful they were having a conversation without the words apocalypse or the world ending in it.

"And then Harvey challenged them to a Battle of the Bands. The Student Council can sponsor that, right, Brina?" Roz turned to her.

"Uh, yeah, I think so, but..." she started but Mrs. Curtis, the librarian interrupted her, showing a poster of some battle of the bands some time ago.

"Well, that settles it. It's time to bring this tradition back.", Harvey said and Roz seconded it. They started to move closer to each other making plans on how to make it happen. She noticed how Nick was observing them. She smiled and slipped her hand to his interlocking them. He seemed to have mastered the art of blending in. And with him and her friends, he didn't seem out of place at all but she noticed his eyebrows met a lot today. He always seemed to try to figure things out and probably making a mental note to himself about what he'd look up in the library. She found it really amusing but mostly she just appreciated him being there.

She liked how he walked her to her classes, and how he waited for her at the end of it. She liked how he dragged her to a corner earlier and kissed her till they were both out of breath. At the Academy, they usually had the same lectures together, and kissing wasn't exactly prohibited so, this was something totally different and experiencing them at Baxter High was exciting. Baxter High was like her second home. It was her first school, and it was where she met Roz and Harvey and where they all became friends with Theo. So having Nick there, and not just because of a dance really meant a lot to her.

What she didn't like though was that everywhere they went, there seemed to be an ample amount of giggling girls and whispers. And if you paid some attention to them, their eyes were all fixated on her boyfriend. People being attracted to Nick wasn't really something new, witches and motals alike, she knew how hot and attractive Nick is. But she just couldn't really help but be annoyed.

She remembered how she once bragged to her fellow cheerleaders about a dark, dashing private school boyfriend, but now that that boyfriend was also attending her school, she almost felt possessive. She told this to Roz earlier when they had a free period together.

"Well, Nick is hot, Brina, even Theo agrees AND," Roz held out her hand when she was about to say something. "that is speaking objectively."

She pouted and then straightened up as she realized, "I feel like a jealous teenager."

Roz chuckled. "You are Brina. We are teenagers. We're witches, yes. Though I still don't really know what that means for me, but, we're still human beings. We have emotions and everything that entails being a 'mortal' as your ex --- sorry, your boyfriend would occasionally call us. By the way, you still haven't told me how you guys got back together. As your surprises come and go, that wasn't something I'd expect to happen this soon."

She felt her eyebrows meet. "You didn't expect it to happen this soon? So you were expecting it to happen some time in the future?

Roz looked at Sabrina intently. "Brina, I may not know everything you both have been through but I think I know enough. And I have seen how the both of you handled your break up. Remember that speech---

She groaned. "Don't remind me."

Roz laughed before continuing, "And I've seen you both in the alternate universe. I clearly saw and felt the attraction." Her best friend sighed. "I know you didn't really like talking about it, but like you, I also know love when I see it."
