A/N: This chapter's content might be out of nowhere but they're watching the crystal ball for a whole day and what else is there to do? Plus, I thought it was a fitting subject since they've resurrected their family members and we never really talked about this part on the show. Hope you like it anyways. 😊 Lemme know what you guys think in the comments :)

Btw, Nick's back story is from Sarah's books, so it's not something I came up with. Plus this AU is more canon-compliant than a divergence from the show/books. Everything is the same unless I've stated otherwise.

----------------------------------

The next following hours were just the both of them watching the crystal ball and all the other Resurrected dead. Thankfully, not many of them are there. It may probably be because of Mambo Marie since she told them that she'd be dealing with their avatar. She must've kept him or her occupied enough not to resurrect any more of them.

Zelda still hasn't left her office, which he noticed made Sabrina anxious every time it switched to her Aunt and father. They're mostly not talking and it's just Edward reading and writing things on his notebook.

"You'll meet him soon Spellman, stop worrying." He said, for the silence between them was starting to worry him.

"I know. I just...", she looked at him and then avoided his eyes. It was that look on her face when something's bothering her and she was mulling over it. He loved it when she looked like that. It made him really curious as to what she's thinking especially because he knows it's not usually something he'd expect.

He took her hand. "Hey, what's on your mind?"

She kept her eyes on the crystal ball and slowly started, "Well...a lot of the coven's family members have returned and something just came to me..." Then she stopped and couldn't seem to continue.

"Uh-huh." He said, encouraging her to continue as he stroked her hand. "C'mon Spellman, it's just me.

She turned to him, eyes full of worry but at the same time, with curiosity. "Well, you said before that... Amalia was the only family you have, and I just wondered what if...what if your mom... or your dad will return?"

He got taken aback by the question. Like he said earlier, something totally unexpected. He actually hasn't thought about it at all. His parents or his familiar. He wasn't aware that he was staring at her for probably a long time till he felt her hands on his hair.

"I'm sorry for bringing them up. I didn't mean to. I just... you never did talk about them." She said softly.

He felt himself blink a few times. "It's okay. You caught me by surprise, that's all."

She smiled with relief and stroked his hair.

He sighed then took her hand and brought it to his lips before finally saying, "I barely remember them to be honest. I no longer even remember their faces."

"No pictures?"

"You know our kind don't really keep pictures."

She snorted. "Right. Because it's easier to curse someone with it."

He smiled slightly at her and nodded.

"Any memories with them that you can still remember?", she pressed a little more.

He thought for a moment. Sure there were still bits and pieces of memories that he could remember. But sometimes, he wasn't even sure what was real and what wasn't. It felt like sometimes, his memories were made just so it would satisfy his longing for them. He knew though that if it was too good of a memory, then it wasn't real.
