Brooke never knew how you could talk her into doing any wild adventure so easily.
She was a laid back girl who mostly kept to herself. She never drank, smoked,or did anything people her age were getting into. Hell, she hardly left her home.
So when the two of you were watching a film and a skating rink came on the television, you weren't surprised when she mentioned she had never been to one.
You kept quiet because if you brought up the idea that had suddenly sprung to mind, you knew she would protest until she was blue in the face.
You loved Brooke dearly and you were determined to make her live her life to the fullest even if you had to sneak it on her.
So the next morning, you showed up to her home unannounced.Brooke answered the door with a raised brow but always greeted you with a smile even if she was confused
"Y/n what're you doing here so early?"
Brooke asked.
She was still in her pajamas and she pulled her robe close a bit as the morning wind picked up.
"Get dressed. I have a surprise."You gave her a smile and pointed towards your car
"A surprise for me?"
When you nodded yes,she blinked a few times before processing the words that had came out your mouth earlier.
"Oh okay...well let me get dressed."
She moved from the doorway so you could wait inside.
You sat on her couch and watched as she disappeared into her room.
Brooke was always quick at getting ready because she always planned what she would wear the next day before she went to bed.
She was dressed and ready quick. You wasted no time, making sure she got in the car with no suspicion.
It was a long drive to where you wanted to take Brooke.
Sure, there were skating rinks just around the corner from where you lived. But you wanted to take Brooke somewhere nice, wanting to make her first time at one special.
An hour into the ride and Brooke began to ask questions. You dismissed them by telling her you couldn't ruin the fun of the suprise.
Being understanding she wouldn't ask any more questions until another hour had gone by.
You smiled in delight as the rink you were wanting to take her was just a few short minutes away.
Right as you felt she was about to question you some more, you pulled up.
Brooke's eyes widened with shock as she seen the already busy place.
When you pulled in a parking lot,she jolted her head towards you.
"Absolutely not."
She protested, crossing her arms against her chest. You quickly shut your car off and slipped the keys in your pocket
"Well I'm not driving back unless you at least go inside."
You explained, crossing your arms against your own chest.
Brooke bit her lip and started at you again before groaning in frustration
"I hate you,y/n."
"No you don't."
You stuck your tongue out at her as you got out the car, going towards the passenger side to hold her door open.
Brooke got out and hesitantly followed you to the entrance.
Both your ears were both met with the loud music and commotion of all the people inside.
You dodged people as you went to get skates in yours and Brooke's size.
She waited at a table keeping to herself.
You could see her eyes wandering around like she was still trying to process the whole situation. Wondering if only she could have avoided you this morning.
You handed her the pair of skates you got and began to put on your own.
"Y/n,I can't skate. I'll fall just standing in them."
Brooke hadn't even put the skates on by the time you got yours laced up and ready to go.
"You can hold my hand. Once you get out there you'll fall in love with it."
She hesitated a little more but began to put the skates on.
When she stood up she wobbled a little, catching her balance by gripping the table that you were sitting by.
She held onto it for a second before she reached her hand out for you to hold.
You obliged and locked your fingers with hers.
You skated slowly so she could easily follow you.
You skated around the rink a little letting her get use to the skates
"I'm gonna let go of your hand. Just keep moving your feet."
You moved your hand from hers and watched cautiously to see how she did.
You could tell Brooke was nervous by the look on her face but she kept balance.
Once she notice that she could actually do it,she gave you a big smile.
She threw her arms in the air as she swayed to the beat of the music.
You laughed with joy as you watched her have fun.
"Grab my hands."
You loudly said over the loud music.
She reached her hands out and grabbed yours.
You spun the both of you in a circle.
Brooke let out a excited squeal and tossed her head back, laughing in joy as you spun.
You both skated for sometime longer. Each sharing the same feeling of never wanting this time to end.
Brooke was glad to have a friend like you.
Even when she insisted she didn't want to do something, you made sure to show her the fun it.
In fact, you made sure to show her the fun in the world.
For that, you would always and forever be in Brooke's heart.
