Thunder echoed outside, before a flash of lightning blinded me. I didn't mind. I was at peace with the feeling of the rain showering onto my face. Literally, almost everyone would call me crazy and reckless for sitting on my balcony in the middle of a lightning storm, but I found a weird sense of peace and independence in it. I smiled widely up at the clouds as the thunder boomed again louder, the flash of lightning coming faster than before.

"You shouldn't be outside during a lightning storm, Jupe." Barry called from inside my loft apartment.

"What's it gonna do, huh? Give me super speed, Flash?" I said casually, not bearing to listen to another one of Barry's lectures today.

"Shut up, Nyx." He chuckled.

"Uh-huh." I glared in his direction before my face broke into a wide smile.

"Jupe- Jupe, you're gonna get sick!" He bellowed up in a fatherly tone.

"Bartholomew Henry Allen, get the fuck up here!" I yelled gleefully, standing up and spinning on the spot as the rain soaked me to the bone.

I heard the squeaky metal door of the stairwell open and heard soaked footsteps headed towards my spinning figure. I giggled loudly in the rain, whooping and yelling out in joy. Strong, although slightly skinny, arms wrapped tightly around my wet torso, pulling me close to the figure behind me. I slipped around in his arms and looped my arms behind Barry's neck, smiling brightly in the dark of the storm. His green eyes lit up at my smile, knowing how much I loved basking the rain and thunder as opposed to the sun and blue skies.

I closed my eyes and tipped my head back, taking in my surrounding, the very surroundings that make me the happiest that I have been in a long time. I threaded my fingers in Barry's drenched hair, looking into his eyes again. I pressed my lips quickly to his, savouring the taste. Barry smiled and pulled me back in for another loving kiss, one of many we'd shared. Barry and I had been sneaking around for about a month or so, him dating Iris and I dating Eddie. I knew that Eddie and Iris were doing the same thing as we were, hell, they'd been cheating on us longer than us.

"I didn't think I'd find a love story like that one, my loves." I smiled at my girl sitting cross-legged on the floor, and my boy sitting wide-eyed on my knee, "And don't tell daddy I said a bad word." I added in a hushed tone, winking at my daughter.

"Tell us more, Mama!" They both cheered.

"Well...Oh, alright." I caved and began telling them more about my blissful relationship with their father, and how it was never supposed to happen.

()

"W-We gotta end this, Jupe. We have to." Barry sighed, running his hands through his hair from stress.

"Barry, they've been doing it to us for longer than we have to them. They're the ones that got caught with their pants, and panties, down." I shrugged, trying to keep Barry calm and lighten the situation - neither appeared to be working.

"It-It should feel wrong! But..." Barry sighed and looked into my eyes for the first time tonight.

"But?" I asked, stepping close and cupping his face in my hands.

"But...I love you, and I don't want to hide you anymore." He smiled a little, resting his forehead on mine.

"I love you so much, Barry Allen." I whispered, lifting my head and kissing his nose before laying my forehead against his again.

"Honey! Kids! I'm home!"His familiar voice echoed through our home as the sound of the front door shutting loudly followed his voice.

"Daddy! Daddy!" Our children cried, happiness of seeing their father after a long day at CCPD.

Barry walked into the lounge as Dawn sped into his arms, him picking her up in an instant. I smiled as he tickled her in his arms, throwing her up and down gently. I felt my eyes water and hugged Don on my knee tightly, his little arms wrapping firmly around my neck.

"Hi, Mrs. Allen." Barry smiled and kissed me softly.

"Hello there, Mr. Allen." I smiled and stood, keeping Don firmly in place on my hip.

I kissed him again gently, earning groans and 'ew's from Don and Dawn. We laughed as we pulled away, walking into the kitchen and placing both little children on the island counter. I kissed Don's head and ruffled his hair, before taking the cookie dough I'd made, earlier in the day, from the fridge and sliding it onto the countertop between our twins. I removed the saran wrap and we all dug in. I only took small pieces, licking my fingers clean, I slid an arm around Barry's waist. He turned to me and smiled, pecking my lips before coming back for more.

I pulled away and sighed happily, slowly opening my eyes and finding his seafoam green ones. "I love you." I murmured breathlessly.

"I love you too." Barry breathed happily before returning to eating with our children.
