Kiera POV
Thomas Brodie-Sangster is my best friend, always has been. But unfortunately for me, I've been in love with him for years. Lucky me, right? Being Thomas's best friend was as close as I was going to get to a relationship with him, and I don't want to ruin that. But that doesn't stop the feelings whirring around in the back of my head.
"Tommy!" I shouted, waiting for some response since it was almost 2pm and he still wasn't awake.
"Tommy!" I called out again.
I closed my eyes, threw my head back, and mentally prepared myself for having to wake Thomas up. I opened my eyes again and started up the stairs to his room. I silently walked up them and got to his door quickly, pushing it open gently. Thomas was in no way conscious. He was tightly wrapped in his duvet, clutching a pillow to his shirtless torso, his blonde locks pointing at multiple different angles, soft snores falling from his lips. He's so fucking gorgeous. How the hell does he look so good when he's asleep?! I shook my head and smiled thinly at my best friend. He went to sleep at about 7 last night and is still sleeping. How the fuck does someone do that!?
I slowly crept towards where he lay, ready to wake him up, when he started talking in his sleep.
"Kiera, please." He mumbled, his brow creasing slightly. My heart rate quickened, hoping he wasn't talking about any other Kiera he knew.
"What's going on?" I whispered, genuinely wanting to know why I was in my longtime crush's dreams. Cliché, I know.
"Don't leave me... I love you." He whimpered slightly.
My eyes widened and I stepped back. He loves me? No, he's only dreaming, right? Of course he is, Kiera. He doesn't love you. Stop being stupid. I quickly shut up my brain, and shook Thomas's bare shoulder in an attempt to wake him. He stirred but no avail. I groaned and smacked his shoulder, hard. That got him moving.
"Ow?! What the hell was that for?" He asked groggily. Yep. Totally out of it.
"Thomas, get up. It's almost 2 and you had interviews today." I said quickly.
His face paled a little when he realised that I was the one waking him up, probably still remembering his dream. "Ki, slow down, what the bloody hell are you talking about?" He asked sharply.
"Get. Out. Of. Bed." I drawled, snatching the pillow from beneath his chest and throwing it on the ground. "You have the Maze Runner table read today."
"Shit." He mumbled before sitting up and getting out of bed.
I chuckled and left the room, letting Thomas get changed. I heard his shower turn on through the door and decided to go downstairs to cook him some breakfast to make up for waking him.
TBS POV
I stepped into the shower and let the water soak me, gracefully sliding across my skin. I slicked my wet hair back and groaned, remembering my dream, and waking up to none other than the actual girl of said dream.
"I'm sorry, Thomas, it's just for the best." She sighed, picking up her suitcase and passport from my bed.
"How? Tell me, how this is for the best?" I whined, feeling the tears bubble up inside me.
"I'm moving in with Austin in L.A. and you're going to let me." Kiera said coldly, moving towards the door and carrying her suitcase down the stairs. I scurried after her, grabbing the door handle and standing in front of it and blocking her path. "Thomas, I have to get to the airport. Now, move."
"No." I snapped, I didn't want her to leave. I couldn't let her.
"What do you want, Tom?" She sighed, resting her hand on her suitcase.
"Kiera, please." I begged and frowned, making my brow crease, and running a hand through my hair, "Don't go, I love you."
And that's all I remember before I was woken up by Kiera smacking my shoulder. I hastily washed and got out of the shower, leaving my hair wet and changing into blue jeans and a white t-shirt. I checked my laptop, seeing that I still had a little while before the table read started. I had a couple of messages from Wes asking me if I was awake or if I was going to be missing the zoom call. I scrolled through my Instagram feed for once as I walked downstairs, only to be met with the smell of pancakes and bacon.
"What are you doing?" I asked Kiera as I walked into the kitchen.
Kiera POV
"What are you doing?" Thomas asked from behind me. I yelped and spun to face him, feeling like I'd been caught with my hand in the cookie jar.
"Making you breakfast in hopes that you won't hurt me for waking you up?" I smiled widely, holding out a plate stacked with about 6 pancakes on it.
Thomas hummed and eyed the food and I suspiciously, taking the plate and sitting on a barstool behind the breakfast bar, carefully placing his plate in front of him. I handed him a knife and fork, which he took and thanked me for, and he started eating. I started humming a song I had heard and focused on finishing the song and cooking the bacon, before my mouth soon decided it had a mind of its own.
"You talk in your sleep, Tommy." I said nonchalantly, immediately closing my mouth, before choking noises came from behind me. I spun to face Thomas and see him guzzling down water, coughing violently. "Oh my God, Thomas! Are you alright?!"
"Yeah- Yeah, I'm fine." He cleared his throat and looked me dead in the eyes, "So, what did I- um...I say?"
"You asked me not to go and you- uh..." I stumbled over my words, biting my lip, too scared to finish the sentence.
"Ki, what did I say to you?" He asked, starting with a small laugh before it quickly died and became a frown.
"You said that you love me." I blurted. Thomas's eyes widened in shock, slowly moving towards me. I broke our gaze and quickly played it off, "B-But don't worry, i-it's fine-"
I was cut off by Thomas grabbing my face in both hands and pressing his soft lips lovingly against mine, almost like his life depended on it. I pulled back for a moment before slipping my hands into his wet hair and pulling him back down for another, more passionate, kiss. His lips fit with my pink ones perfectly, moving swiftly and softly against my lips. I smiled as his hands found my waist, holding on tightly. Thomas's tongue traced a line across my closed lips, asking for the access that I happily granted him. Our tongues swirled together, in a fight for dominance, before we both pulled apart from the lack of air.
Thomas rested his forehead on mine, his chestnut brown eyes greeting mine warmly. I nibbled lightly on my lower lip and smiled at him.
"I do love you, Kiera." Thomas murmured, closing his eyes and holding me as close as possible.
"I've always loved you, Tommy." I smiled, looking up into his eyes.
His face held a look of slight surprise before it softened. He hugged me, practically squeezing the life out of me, and nuzzling his head in the crook of my neck. I did the same to him and gently played with the hair on the back of his head.
