Being Scott's little sister sucks more than you'd think it does. He's possessive and controlling and makes me feel like I'm trapped in a glass box on a pedestal. I wasn't allowed to fight, I wasn't allowed to go out, I wasn't allowed to do anything. Especially not have a boyfriend. Either way, I didn't date. I mean I used to, but after I dated Stiles and it didn't work out, I just kinda... stopped. And that was okay. Until Theo Raeken rolled up outside of Beacon Hills High School in his dark blue pickup truck.
Theo Raeken. Scott and Stiles' third musketeer until he moved away when he was 10. I won't lie to you, I thought he was cute then, but holy hotness he's gorgeous now!
He must've recognised Scott, because he was waving at me, Scott, and- me? I was on my own. I had walked up to the school doors with Scott and Stiles but apparently, they had left me alone. Little shits. I looked around to see if he was actually waving at me, which he was, but when I turned back to face him I collided with his chest.
"Hey, Jax. It's been a while." He said coyly with a smirk.
"Y-Yeah... it, um, it has." I managed to stutter out. God, I hate my stutter right now.
"This is probably going to sound a little forward, but, uh, what are you doing later?" He asked quietly, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.
Was he nervous?
"I'm a very busy woman these days. Probably nothing important, why?" I replied sarcastically, swishing a loose strand of hair behind my shoulder.
"Wanna catch a movie with me?" He smirked.
I hummed and rubbed my chin, faking thinking before answering him with, "I'd like that." A small smile creeping onto both our faces.
He nodded and looked kinda relieved as he turned to walk past me into school.
¦-----¦
Theo and I have been sneaking around for the last few months. I'm part of Scott's pack, and Theo's working with the dread doctors against us, but I don't care. I love him and he loves me.
"J!" I heard him whisper-yell, followed by a clang of metal. Probably something being knocked over.
"Here!" I said, knowing he'd hear me wherever he was in the old flour mill.
A grunt of pain came from behind me, causing me to spin and find Theo scowling at a bar he had clearly bashed his head on. I giggled and he turned to me, a half-smile playing on his lips at my laughter.
"Hi." I murmured softly with a smile still hanging on my face.
"Hi." He said in the same tone.
He stepped towards me and his plump lips brushed mine, his scent of pine and mint filling my senses. I tangled my hands in his hair as his found my hips, scratching my exposed skin gently. We pulled apart and both our eyes glowed blue, smiling like idiots.
Suddenly Theo's smile faltered, making me frown in confusion.
"How long are we going to keep doing this, J?" He sighed, hand rising to my face and thumb caressing my cheekbone.
"You know how Scott would react. He would never-"
"Never let us be together, I know. You've been telling me that since I asked you to be my girlfriend 4 months ago." He snapped, snatching his hands away from me, "God, why can't we just tell him, to hell with what he thinks!"
"Come on, Theo, you know the rule. The only rule I have and you want to ignore it." I retorted sharply.
"Wake up, Jax. We can't hide this from Scott forever, you know that, right?" Theo asked incredulously, throwing his hands in the air.
