Today is Sunday dinner. Isn't going to fun as it involves both families the Meads and the Knights. Which means both Jon and Jordan will be there. My mom had been doing the cooking with me helping a bit. I'm not much of a cook. I am not looking forward to dinner. Could be awkward. Jordan still hadn't apologised for kissing me. I knew he wouldn't.

I was in the kitchen when the knights turned up. Jon came in and kiss me. But no sign of Jordan yet which is lucky. I cant deal with those stary chocolate brown orbs while I'm with my fiance.

"Miss you"

"Jon it's been what an hour or two".

"I know. But I had to go and pick up my parents".

"Is your brother here yet?"

"No not yet. But on his way I think according to my mom".

That's ok because. That means I don't have to see him yet.

" Beth, I'm fine with dinner for now. Go and spend time with Jon".

"You sure".

"Yes, I am" replies my mom "Spend some time with his parents too".

" Come on let's go outside while we wait," says Jon.

I go out with Jon to where our pool is. We sit on lounge chairs by the pool. I know they want us to sort out wedding plans but a part of me can't do it at the precise moment in time mainly cos of a certain someone who has turned up.

"Shall we talk wedding plans. We haven't for a while. Everyone has been asking when is the date?".

" I'm still not sure on the exact date yet. Are you?".

"Are you getting cold feet? Or is this something to do with my brother coming back?".

" No nothing like that. I'm just can't agree on one yet".

As we were talking the sound of the gate at the bottom of the pool area is heard. And Jordan is standing there in a black tee-shirt and black jeans. Does he not wear anything else out of work other than that. He looks at us but doesn't say a thing just walks past us to the main house.

Once at dinner the main conversation was work as normal when my dad and Jons dad are together. They were trying to get Jordan involved with their discussions and Jon. Both of them just wanted to eat and be left alone.

"Now Jordan how's the marketing department going? Is it sorted yet?".

" Nearly sorted just a few strings left to tie up".

"How many did you lay off? We need a more productive marketing department" replies my dad as CEO "Our sales team can't blossom if marketing is just scraping through".

" 10 but haven't been told yet".

"Tell them soon rather than later need a whole new restructure of the department".

" Yeah because we can't develop into a bigger and better company with freeloaders working for us. We will lose against our competitors".

"Who hired these workers?".

" The old marketing manager was a little too soft on them before he retired".

"Now Jordan you are to whip them into shape. We heard great things about you from our sister company in Australia. You will need to spend some time there and in London, England too".

I look over Jordan who looks like he wants them to shut up and leave him alone. I catch his glance as my mother starts talking.

" Now can you two leave the poor lad alone. He has just come back from travelling abroad. And now you are grilling him about business at the dinner table. No more talk about the business please"

There was a sigh of relief from Jordan.

"OK, Bethan any more planning on the wedding like a date for the wedding. People are starting to ask" now my dad acting like my dad.

"Slowly and no date yet. I can't decide".

" Summer would be too hot so looking at either Spring or Autumn. But like Beth says we can't decide yet".

As Jon is talking, I can feel something like a foot against my leg. "Jon please stop it".

" Stop what?".

"Playing footsie under the table in front of our folks".

" But I am not".

"Maybe I just felt something".

Then I look up and there was Jordan opposite me smirking. I glare at him which he in turn gives me a smouldering look back. I move my legs further under my chair away from his foot. He then gives me a 'why did you do that for' kinda look. I wish he would stop this shenanigan. I belong to Jon now. I look away from him and back at my plate. I carried on eating my dinner with my mom trying to find out how far we got with our wedding plans. Not only that but have to deal with the feeling that someone is staring at me. The one who is sat between his mom and dad. Their mom was talking with my mom.  In between main and dessert, I was talking to Jon about our plans.

" We think you two should get a wedding planner to help. Of course, we will pay for one" my mom says.

"I think we will be ok. There's no need to rush things. I know people who don't marry each other for at least five years of being engaged".

" But I think it helps us".

"OK, I will think about it. It could take a lot of stress of it".

" OK, we do then".

"We shall". I know someone is gagging opposite us.

I kissed his cheek making all lovey-dovey. I look over when I was close to Jon. Jordan was getting up out of his seat.

" What are you doing, Jordan?" asks his mom.

"I remember I have to do something at the office" as he is up on his feet.

"What about dessert?".

" It needs to be done".

"It can wait until tomorrow. It's Monday tomorrow".

" No, it needs to done. It can't wait". Jordan left the room against his mom's wishes.

"That is going to be a great businessman in the making".

" Just let him choose what he wants to do. No wonder we lost him for a year so he could get away from you two draining the life out of him".

"I'm sorry, dear," says their dad.

I turn to Jon "I don't think that's the reason why he left so quickly".

" You want me to talk to him".

"I don't think it's going to do anything, Jon. He's set in his ways. Like you said he always wants what he can't have"...
