Lucas was sleeping, he looked so peaceful. Where I bit him has healed and no scar is left, but as I lay here I want to drink from him again. I take deep breaths and continue to watch him. I enjoy it when he isn't scowling or sitting around with a blank facial expression. Knowing his past and who he is makes me wonder why he is mated to me of all people. I am a no one, a reject and my blood so muddied you can't tell where one part ends and the other begins. I sigh and he rolls over to his side wrapping his arm around me and bringing me close.

"Stop staring and get some sleep we both need it."

I smiled and snuggled closer to him enjoy the protective heat his body produced. It wasn't long before by body was pulled to sleep.

No longer the image of the man that Lilith mimicked, instead stood a goddess, her platinum hair hung thick and long down her back, her hour glass figure was perfect. She seemed to notice my presence and slowly turned to me. The crimson dress she wore hugged every curve, her creamy pale shoulders were stark against the color of the dress and her ample bosoms nearly over flowed at the top. Her face was beyond beautiful, and I could see a hint of my father and Tristan in her features. Standing beside her was another beautiful woman, something called to me that I should know who she is, but I had never seen her before but it was as if I had know her my whole life and then her eyes met mine and I knew that I was looking at my mother.

"Your daughter is beautiful witch, I can see traces of my sons face in hers. So beautiful. It's nice to meet you granddaughter."

Her fangs were present as she smiled her perfect smile. I stood there too stunned to talk. As I slowly looked her over she laughed a silvery peel of a laugh and slowly turned.

"Do you like it? I found a female host much more to my liking, male hosts are just so muddled. Besides now that I know there is a prince on the table, well I figured this body would be more to his liking. What do you think? "

My mind was rage filled. How dare she talk about what is mine.

"Yours? Ha, do you honestly think he would choose a mutt over me? I doubt that. My blood is pure, not tainted, not riddled with weaker blood. No, once I have him in my grasp he will come to me willingly. He knows now, as do I. Before he was hidden, even from himself, so he was fine with killing my hosts, also I chose hosts that were too young, but this one. ...well I think she is a perfect fit....don't you witch?"

She called over her shoulder to my mother who only sneered and cast an unpleasant look at her. When her eyes finally made contact with mine my heart broke. There was nothing of the woman I called mother there, nothing that would hold warmth or love for me. I could feel the tears fill my eyes as they fought to escape. Instead I held them where they were, I would not let her be a weakness, I had to much to protect.

"I think Lilith that it will be a race between the three of us, who will Lucas choose, or who will win his attention. I'm not against cheating if needs be and a prince is a mighty trophy to win."

I snarled at them both and both just let their eye quirk.

"Come near what is mine and I will make sure you both stay dead. "

They both laughed as I felt myself start to stir awake.

Lucas was shaking me slightly trying to withdrawal his arm from underneath me.

"Dahlia, please wake up, it's just a dream....Dahlia."

I opened my eyes to see his concerned face and immediately I started to cry.

"Why, why can I have a simple life, why so much bullshit."

Lucas looked at me confused but gathered me into his arms and began rocking me.

"Shhh, it will be okay. We will get through this, now what's going on?"

I grabbed him pressing him closer to my body.

"We need everyone here, there's been a change in everything. "

He just nodded and kissed my head as he rubbed my back trying to soothe me.

An hour later we were all gathered in my fathers office. Alexandria and Bart sat close together their hands brushing each other slightly. Cammi stood close to Tristan who looked torn between wanting to touch her and trying to keep a distance. My father sat at his desk and looking at him I could see the strain recent events have had on him.

"What is the reason for this Dahlia? I was enjoying a rare occasion of sleep."

I felt sorry for my father but I needed to tell everyone what was going on. I took a deep breathe and then launched into what I saw. There were several growls and gasps and my father's face became paler by the minute.

"Well brother it seems as though mommy dearest has decided her original face would work best at wooing the wandering prince here."

Lucas growled at Tristan but he was too lost in thought to even bother with acknowledging Lucas.

"Lucas is mine, I will NOT let my mother or grandmother have him. No one else will have him. Dana is not happy and it is taking everything I can to hold her back from tracking them down and ripping their fucking heads off."

Alexandria and Cammi both giggle as Lucas smiles at me. His arms reaching for me and pulling me to his lap. I can feel his warmth and his powers wrapping around me, soothing myself and Dana. My eyes widen in shock at the display, always before is powers were shown to dominate nothing else, yet here he is face nuzzling my neck as his powers wrap soothing fingers around my soul.

"It will take more that an assumed pretty face for me to leave you. Lars will not have it, neither will I. You are mine as I am yours, and that will NEVER change."

His words though slightly muffled against my neck ring loudly through the room and my heart. My body relaxes into him granting him the soul that belongs to his.

"I have this feeling o brother that your father will still make an appearance. I don't see mommy dearest leaving him to rot. Though her sights are on Lucas now, Lycian is a kindred spirit to her twisted soul."

My father grunts at Tristans words his face scrunching in annoyance.

"I wish I could get rid of them both, my life would be a whole lot easier."

We all chuckled at his muttering and then soon we're back to silence.

"I think it's time to add a little more protection to your home. My daughter may be a powerful witch, but I am stronger, and far more learned that she."

I looked over to see Cammi eyes holding the purplish tint that indicated that my grandmother was speaking. But before another word was spoken a servant knocked on the door.

"Come in"

The boy entered, bowed to my father and then straightened

"There is a witch by the name Savilla that wishes to speak with everyone here my lord. She has refused entrance and has asked to be met on neutral ground....for fear of her life."

My father nodded and the boy left, the closing of the door faint and ominous.  All eyes turned to Cammi who stood there with brows furrowed.

"If she here, and is asking for a meet on neutral ground then something is off. She is one of the oldest and most powerful witches, something bad must have happened."

My father sighs and stands

"Well let's go entertain a witch, be sure that everyone stays on their toes , there's no telling what she will do."

Cammi chuckled lacing her arm with Tristans who actually blushes at her and clears his throat. Bart and Alexandria laugh while intwining their fingers and following my father out. Lucas nuzzles into the crook of my neck and squeezes me harder to him. I can feel myself vibrating with his rumbling, and I smile holding on to him tighter as well.
