Silence filled the room once again, my shock was readable. Lucas refused to look at me and I didn't know what to say. I understood,kinda, killing the child reincarnations of my grandmother, but children. But as I sat there stunned I also saw it from a different perspective, and thought to myself
"What would I do if I were to walk in on my mate with another and with a family?"
Dana raged at the scene that played in my mind, bloodlust seeping into me. I took Lucas' limp hand and kissed his palm, his gasp audible. I looked up to see a bewildered look upon his face.
"We all have things we can never live down, actions we wish were done differently. A part of me is a little appalled, but it's small and I'm not sure if I really am. The bigger part of me, and Dana even, is howling that we would have done the same."
He cupped my cheek shaking his head
"No, they were innocents, I had been so desensitized to killing children that I didn't care. I regret it now. I know I'm a monster. Dahlia, I don't deserve to be forgiven or to have the love of anyone. I can't force you to be with me, to be mates to a mons....."
I cut him off with a kiss, immediately the shocks ring through my entire being. He tries to push me off, trying to tell me he's no good for me and I am immediately enraged. I straddle him and let my claws out digging them into his shoulder as he stared into my eyes.

I can feel my power build and my anger boil. How dare he suggest he shouldn't be my mate, does he not understand how much I need him.
Lucas eyes turn black and his claws come out and dig into my hips rocking my hips against him. I can feel him harden beneath me and my pulse races, I feel Dana in the forefront of my mind and she is in a standoff with Lars.

I look up to see Lucas in control and I push Dana aside, this is my fight. I snarl and snap at him and he sneers at me. He removed one hand from my hip only to grab my throat.
"I am going to fuck you into submission MATE, you belong to me, not the other way around."
He removed his other hand from my hip, blood pooling below me and rips the shorts off of me, throwing them towards the door. His power comes off of him in waves smashing me into the bed. Between his power and his grasp on my throat I find it hard to breathe.
"I will have you begging me to stop mutt, just know no matter what I will not. You want to act tough, time to put you in your place."
He removed his hand and as I go to take a breath he sinks his canines into me and rams his cock balls deep inside of me. I scream in pain and send a wave of my power out. I pulled myself out of her and began to lick her wounds closed. After she was starting to heal I kissed her forehead and tucked her into bed. I watched her sleep with a smile on her face and smiled. I got up and showered careful not to disturb her, she needs her rest. When I walked out of the bathroom Tristan was there leaning against the bed post staring at her. I growled at him and he chuckled and turned to me.
"I hope you know that I've spent the last 30 minutes calming all the pups down. The after affects of the two of you using your powers sent them all in a frenzy. His laugh made Dahlia stir and we both quieted as she slip back into a deep sleep.
"Lucas why did you unleash your power? Now you are going to have to tell her why you are so strong."
I huffed out a breath leaning on the dresser and look down at my seeping mate.
"I want her to know, I also want her to know that no matter how cocky she gets I am the dominant one here. She will submit to me, even if I have to break her. She still thinks I'm some young man that is like the two other pups she was fucking."
My fingers traced my mate mark and I growled.
"I will make sure she knows that I am no pup for her to control. And in that process I will make her stronger. She has the potential to be extremely powerful."
Tristan "hmm"ed and looked back at Dahlia.
"Be careful with her, and make sure her father doesn't corrupt her too much. Her light and ability to see the good in people we will need. So many of us have seen enough of the darkness that surrounds the elders and my mother that we need some that still has a shine to them."
I took in his words while staring at my mate. He was right, of course, and I agreed with him. Dahlia was pure and not only did we need that, I want to keep her untainted, and I will do everything to make sure she stays that way.
