Betrayal

Levi knock on Grim office door, "General Grim. It's me Levi." No answer. Levi raised an eyebrow, usually Grim answers right away. He knocks harder, "General Grim! It's Levi!" Levi leaned forward listening and waiting for a reply. "What the?" He twist the door knob slowly, "General, I'm coming in." Levi carefully open her door expecting something is either terribly wrong, or her and Erwin are doing something inappropriate, for that he was ready to be scared for life.

Levi only hear silence, "Grim?" Opening her door all the way the sight that greeted him wasn't something he expected. Grim was laying on her desk with paperwork piles surrounding her fast asleep. Levi had to blink, seeing Grim asleep was something that was almost a phenomenon.As long as he has known her he only see her sleep once, and that was when Madam preformed the horrific medical procedure and Grim was force to fight in the arena.

Levi spotted her looking half dead, when her drained, tired eyes found his he knew he couldn't leave her to die. The two quickly became friends and the rest is history. Levi let out a sigh walking over to her, "Look at you, a complete mess." He gently raise her head pulling out the paper that was now covered in drool. He stare at her sleeping face with light eyes, he admire her beauty. Seeing her sleep brought back the feel of them being kids and living in the Underground trying to survive.

Levi reach out, gently pushing aside her hair, that simple action he knew would wake her up. Like always Grim jump up wide awake, she turn her head staring at him with wide sleepy eyes, "Levi?" She ask rubbing her eyes. "Yeah, what's wrong Erwin kept you up all night?" Grim blush brushing off his comment, "Can I help you Captain?" She ask deadpan while fixing herself to look a little less pathetic.

Levi handed her Eren file, "Just letting you know we will be ready to leave by morning." He told her. Grim nod, "Good. Thank you." She read over his report, "You're taking your whole squad correct?" She needed to confirm. Levi simply nod taking a seat in front of her desk, "Of course, wouldn't leave them out of the fun." Grim smile. She wrote what she needed for the higher ups letting them know the plan regarding their Titan.

The two heard another knock, "That's Hange. Enter." Grim said not taking her eyes off the report she's writing. Levi stayed quiet staring at Grim just as Hange slammed open the door. "General Smith! Captain Levi! My two favorite people!" "Hello Hange." Grim greets, indicating for her to take a seat.

Hange practically skipped with a huge grin and blush on her cheeks. "What are you doing here Four-eyes?" Levi ask with boredom and a fresh headache. "Well, I'm just to let the General know that I'm all ready for our Titan Friend. Plus permission to allow test subjects to be set up." Grim reach her hand out for Hange file. "I believe with Eren and the test subjects. We will get ten times! results and answers!" Levi and Grim watch as Hange seem to be having a sick pleasure thinking about the subjects.

"Section Commander Hange, please refrain from messing up my chairs." Grim warns. Hange quickly got out of her wet dream of dissecting Titans. "Yes ma'am." Levi shook his head, it was clear how much Hange admire his old friend, he dare say may even be in fascination with Grim. Hange continue to go on and on about her experiments while Grim listen as she finishes his paperwork, "Come on Four-eyes, give it a break already would cha." He complains. 

Hange ignore her grumpy comrade, "Anyway General, where will Eren be? If you don't mind me asking ma'am." Grim nod placing Levi file with the rest of the ones she completed. "They are going to be at the old Scouts hideout. It's the safest place for Mr. Yeager. I expect you to be there the following day, after you get your testing site together." Grim told her. 

Hange nod with a large smile, "Of course! Oh! I can't wait to see him again!" Grim quickly stop her from continuing. "Section Commander Hange if you please. Get your unit ready to retrieve Titans." Hange stood up saluting, "Right away! Thank you!" She ran out of the room slamming the door behind her.

Levi rub his head, "How do yo do it?" He ask. Grim chuckles, "It takes practice my friend." Levi stood up, "Well I'll be on my way." He pause before leaving, turning around he see Grim reaching for another file, "Do you think, saving Yeager was a good idea?" He ask. Grim pause staring at him, "Well, only time will give us that answer Levi. Let's have faith in young Yeager and hope we didn't make the wrong decision." Grim answers. Levi stare at her trusting her to the fullest. He nods before closing her door a lot quieter than his comrade. Grim laugh silently at the two polar-opposite soldiers.

The next morning while Grim was fixing her coffee a knock was heard on her door, "Enter." She said. Erwin open the door along with Miche, "Good Morning guys, want coffee?" She ask. "No thank you General." Miche answers. "No thank you babe, we're just here to drop off the plans for the next mission." Erwin handed her his formation plans. "Thank love, hopefully we will have good cadets that's willing to join this year." Grim place the plans flat on her desk, as the three go over the formation one of Grim assistance enters. "General Smith!" 

Grim, Erwin, and Miche stare at the young girl Mifa. "Yes Mifa. What is it?" Grim ask calmly. "It's Commander Hange experiments! They're dead Ma'am!" Grim narrow her eyes while Erwin and Miche stood up. Erwin and Grim stayed behind as the group left her office, "Do you think?" Erwin ask quietly. "Possibly, there's been a lot of mysterious murders happening lately. It only make sense they are striking again." Grim replies. "Mifa. Tell me what happened?" Grim ask leading the group.

The young girl ran to her side, "Well ma'am. It must have happened just before dawn, according to the Garrison Guards the suspect got away using ODM gear ma'am." Mifa answer trying to keep up with Grim quick walking to the site where Hange kept her latest subjects. "Hm." Was all Grim said. 

"Was Section Commander Hange notified?" Miche asked. Mifa nod, "Yes sir. Moblit is informing her as we speak." The group finally made it to the site just as Hange screams reach their ears. "Sawney! Beane!" Grim blink, "Really? She named them after those two maniacs?" She ask. Levi and his squad were already at the scene. "Apparently that's what she wanted to name them." Levi answers walking to her crossing his arms.

Hange continues with her dramatic antics, "How could this happen!? Tell me this isn't real!" Grim listen to the conversations around her. "They were such valuable specimens. Is this a solider work?" Gunther asked. "Yeah, but they haven't pegged the one responsible yet." Eld answers his teammate. "By the time the guards got here, the bastard gotten away using ODM gear." Grim eyes narrow hearing Gunther next statement, "Whoever it was must've had a lookout to warn them about the guards."

Grim blink as'It seems everyone know the same information that was giving to Mifa.' She thought "Sawney!" Hange hollers like she lost her children. "Oh dear." Oruo started staring at the sad scene. "Someone's gone stark raving mad haven't they?" He ask. Petra gave him a shock look before elbowing him in his ribs hard.

"How did this-how'd it happen?" Eren asked with confusion. Levi left Grim side walking over to him, "Let it go. This is a matter for the Military Police." Levi said to the young boy. "Uh, yes sir." Eren went back to watching Hange cry over her Titans.

Erwin walk over to him next placing his hand on his shoulder leaning close to his ear, "What is it you think you see?" He ask Eren quietly. Grim watch as Eren look as if he didn't know what Erwin was asking, "Who do you think the real enemy is here?" Erwin continue to ask. Grim can tell Eren didn't have the slightly clue what Erwin was getting at. 

She let out a sigh of relief, 'At least he isn't involved.' She turn around ready to leave and to think about what happened and who could be responsible for this mess. Levi watch as she leave following behind her. Erwin blink staring off to the side seeing his wife leaving the area, "Ignore me, loaded question." He backed away from the young boy walking over to Levi who stop to wait on him, the men follow Grim back to her office.

Eren turn around just as Erwin backed away, he blink his eyes in surprise seeing General Grim. He didn't even notice she was there, he watch as the three of them leave the area with Grim leading. Seeing her, even a glimpse made Eren feel unease. She oozed authority and discipline, she had a commanding presence to her even as she's leaving. 

Eren swallow hard staring at what could be the strongest member of the Scouts, 'General Grim. I wonder what's going on.' Eren thought about the question Erwin asked. 'What did he mean? Did the General have him ask those questions?' Eren couldn't understand Erwin questions, he only hope that who ever did this to Hange. Will pay.
