Female Titan

Erwin was riding with his team reaching the edge of the forest entrance, 'Titans have used this path. Lack of vegetations a giveaway, it should be a cinch for the wagons.' He thought to himself. Looking at the forest entrance he see a large black feather on the ground. He pause to give his orders, "Inform everyone behind us. Only the center wagon defense squad is to enter this forest." "Yes Sir!" The two soldiers broke off to inform the rest of the squad that made it this far. 

As Erwin rode on his horse he stare at the black feathers while passing, 'Ok, this must be the spot.' Erwin continue riding in hopes his target will fall in line. Grim, Levi, Hange, himself and many others went over the plan over and over making sure to dot their 'I's' and cross their 'T's' there was no way their target will escape as long as the dense forest provide obstacle.

They know the rest of the Scouts wouldn't understand why the choose the dense forest, that was the point. With a traitor among their ranks they had to be careful, Grim made sure not allow anyone to know the plan directly only what they need to know. Most lives will have to be sacrificed, but that's the price she was willing to make for the survival of humanity.

Levi leading his squad threw the forest with Eren shouting his name like a desperate child. "Captain! Captain Levi!" Levi finally had enough, "What?" "C'mon sir! We're in a forest! We won't see a Titan 'til it's right on top of us! The center rank's totally cut off!" Eren pause as panic started to settle from the confusion as to why they were in a forest a dense one on top of that. "Something's coming up on the right isn't it? So what are we suppose to do? Avoid Titans or defend the wagons?" Eren ask.

"Quit whining and move on from the obvious already. Neither of those is an option anymore." Levi answers him. Eren wasn't following, "What are you talking about?" "Haven't you notice what's around you? Take a look at these big ass trees, perfect environment for ODM gear wouldn't say?" Eren took a look around, "Take my advice Eren. Clam down and use your head. The best survival tool is your brain." Eren finally clam down, "Yes Sir!"

Eren was feeling confident in his Captain, that was until he looked around seeing the rest of Levi Squad just as much in a panic, only they were silent. Eren turn to stare at Levi once again, 'Wait, are all of us in the dark?' He couldn't help but to stare at his Captain, 'What the hell is going on here? Doesn't that mean, even Captain Levi's clueless?' Eren thought to himself. The panic making its home back in his stomach and throat. 

Not long after someone set off a black flair, "Black smoke!?" Eren said. "It's right behind us!" Oruo announce to the group. "Damn thing been on our asses since we came in here." Eld said. "Blades drawn now!" Levi orders his squad. Pulling out his own blades he warns, "It will happen in the blink of an eye. Be ready." 

He can feel his squad anxiety as everyone grew quiet. The squad was holding their breath listening and waiting, the only they can hear are their horses hooves and their hearts beating in their ear. A solider came from the trees, Eren look behind him with wide frighten eyes and batted breath.

Levi knew what had to happen, the backup Scouts was prepared for it. Narrowing his eyes, he can finally hear the footsteps as the Female Titan made her appearance swatting the solider away like an annoying insect. Eren gasp along with the rest of Levi Squad, "Go move it!" Levi orders. 

The Female Titan jump swatting her hand trying to grab Eren from his horse only to miss my an inch. Eren couldn't take his eyes off of her, staring at her he can see she was grinning like a maniac. "Holy shit!" Gunther shouts. "How the hell are we suppose to pull evasive maneuvers in here?" He wasn't really asking anyone. "It's catching up!" Eld shouts. Petra finally reach her own breaking point, "Captain! Engage the ODM gear?" She ask with panic in her voice.

Levi didn't answer only watching the Female Titan move about the forest like it was just a big game to her. "Captain?" Petra tried again to reach her silent Captain. "Where do you thin you're going?" The squad turn around, "Rear Reinforcements!" Petra said sounding a little more reinforce, that quickly died when the Female Titan killed the two soldiers.
