Chapter 35

Amanda's POV

Rather than driving me to where I thought we were going, we ended out going to the beach first. Jordan, being the 'gentleman' he is, opened my door for me and escorted me down the beach like I was on a luxury dinner or something. Eventually, after a while of walking, I saw a cute little candlelit dinner sitting on a red and white classic picnic blanket. There were smaller candles that were scattered around the area, some were even pushed into the sand a little bit so it looked like the ground was burning. This was nice.

I looked over towards the dinner and away from the candles and saw Mike already sitting there, waiting for us to arrive. "Bout time! I thought I was going to have to start eating without you!" I looked towards the small picnic basket that was sitting in the middle of the blanket, and as if reading my mind, Mike opened it, showing off the beautiful contents inside.

"Vegan chicken, a couple of salads and apple pie. You're welcome." She said as she pulled out a couple of plates for the three of us and served up the food. "I fucking love you sometimes Mike, but, you really didn't have to do this."

"Shush, of course I did." She said, handing me a plate of chicken and salad. "No, Mike you-" she cute me off by holding a finger to my lips like and idiot. "I said shush. Eat woman! No complaining or objecting!" I shrugged and decided to go along with her 'cheer up plan'.

"Okay, so, now what?" I asked as we finished packing up our stuff. "You'll see." She smirked, pulling me back up the hill and to the car. "Fine." I sighed. Maybe I should tell her about the Skype call... Nah.

I sat in the front next to Jordan on the way back to Mikes house. While looking out the window, I noticed a whole bunch of fairy lights that I don't remember being there before. All of a sudden, I saw a love heart, followed by my name, and a giant YouTube symbol, all strung up in the trees leading down the road. "When did you do all this? That must've taken forever you guys!" I said excitedly. I placed my hands on the windows and leaned closer, trying to get a better look. They were all perfectly placed, there were next to no flaws with the placing of the lights. They all looked so pretty, and all for me.

So, I decided to do what any sane person would. I reached for my bag at my feet and dug through it as fast as I could until I found my camera. I bring that shit everywhere. I turned it on and had the lens on the window, getting all the lights as they went past.

"You guys are so amazing." I said in awe. Unfortunately, within a few seconds the lights all disappeared into the distance, so I turned the camera off and put it away. We were at Mike's house just a few short minutes after. "Did you enjoy the light show Mandy?" Jordan cooed in a babyish voice.

"Uh, duh! That was so awesome you guys! I have no idea how you pulled it off, but thanks!" I rushed out of the car to give them both a hug. "You guys are the best."

"Yea, so you've said, now, get your butt in that house woman!" Mike yelled, probably disturbing the neighbours. Before either Jordan or I could react, she had already run to the door and was holding it open for us. "Wait! We must YouTube this shit first!" Jordan threw his arms into the air before diving into my bag for my camera again. As soon as he found it, he held it up in the air and pressed the button.

"Hey guys, Jordan Sweeto here! So today, me and my two amazing friends, Michelangelo and Mandy-" before he could continue, Mike hit him in the side. "I'm not a turtle!" Me and Jordan laughed as he pointed the camera towards a pouting Mike. "Aww, I'm sorry... Anyways, let's go inside!" He did a weird dance with his arms before running inside the already opened door. I followed them all the way to Mike's video game room. "Are you ready kids?!" Jordan said, lifting the camera up to see all of us. "Are you serious right now?" Mike said, slightly agitated at his stupidity. "I can't heeeere you!" He repeated in the same annoying voice.
