Chapter 23

Amanda's POV

Okay, so, tomorrow is the last day of warped before we all go our separate ways. I'm really gonna miss the guys, I haven't cut all warped and I'm feeling really great about that, so I don't want to go back to my life of my abusive parents and crappy school life.

I still haven't mustered up the courage to ask Kyle what we are. I've been slowly gaining more and more distance from him because I don't want to get attached. I think I'm just preparing myself for rejection though. I mean, seriously, we live in different countries! Different parts of the world entirely!

I think I'm going to ask him when we get back to our hotel tomorrow afternoon. We're all staying together for one more night before we drive down to the airport tomorrow.

I was making my way back to the bus when I was stopped by a girl, maybe about a year older then me.
"Hey, your Amanda, right?"

"Haha, yea, you a fan?" She nodded eagerly, looking down at me slightly.

"Can I ask you something?" She tilted her head to the side, ever so slightly.

"Sure, what do you wanna know?"

"Are you and Kyle David Hall dating?" Surprisingly enough, this is the first time anyone has actually personally asked me.

"Uh, haha, no, we're not." I scratched the back of my neck slightly, feeling a bit flustered for some reason.

"Aww, that's too bad, I totally ship you guys. I still don't have a ship name though." She made a puzzled face, as if she was deep in thought.

"That's okay, sorry, but I gotta get back to the bus before they leave without me." I smiled at her and waved slightly as I walked away. She smiled and waved back and walked back to wherever she came from.

I walked up the stairs of the bus and smiled when I saw Kyle. "Hey." I went and sat next to him.

"Uh, I'm gonna go take a nap. I'll talk to you later." He looked displeased at me as he walked away.

Kyle's POV

I was walking back to the bus when I saw Amanda talking with a girl that I haven't seen before. I was about to go say hi when I suddenly heard what they were saying.

"Are you and Kyle David Hall dating?" She looked at Amanda, anticipating the answer.

"Uh, haha, no, we're not."

Oh.

Oh.

I quickly rushed past them and to the bus, making sure that they didn't see me. I went and sat in the front living area and waited for Amanda. I wanted to talk to her, but I didn't know what to say.

I was out of time to think when I heard her footsteps coming up the small bus stairs. "Hi." She said cheerfully as she smiled at me.

She came and sat down beside me.

I didn't have anything to say to her yet, so I wanted to avoid her until then.

"Uh, I'm gonna go take a nap. I'll talk to you later." I stood up and walked away without letting her reply.

I laid down in my bunk and began playing games on my phone while listening to music. Ugh, I feel really stupid. She probably thinks that something is wrong now. I mean, something is wrong, but it's not like I want her to anticipate anything.

I sighed heavily and rubbed my forehead. "What am I gonna do?" I said to myself, perhaps a bit too loudly. My curtain slid open and Amanda was looking at me puzzled.

"What's wrong? What are you going to do about what?"
