Chapter 10

Kyle's POV

~after everyone leaves Warped~

I got a text from Johnnie saying that Amanda was going to be hanging around the parking lot for a while after it got dark, so I was headed there now. It's still really cloudy out, so I'm still hoping it doesn't rain.

Pretty soon I see her walking around, kicking up dirt and gravel.
I start walking towards her and she looks in my direction and stops walking. "What do you want Kyle?" I still think she's a little mad
"I just wanted to talk to you, you've been ignoring me all day." I heard her sigh and she looked back up at me.
"I only did that because you seemed pretty keen on ignoring me."
"I only did that because I didn't want to embarrass myself again." I put my hand behind my neck, I started blushing again. I really hope it's dark enough that she can't see.
She walked towards me and gave me a hug. "Sorry."

"It's okay, I guess I should've been nicer about the situation, so I'm sorry too."

We pulled away from the hug and my hands just rested on her waist. We're looking at each other now, it's not an awkward stare, it's strangely comfortable. I started to look at more of her features, especially her lips. They look so full and kissable. Ugh why am I thinking like this? We're just friends.

I removed my hands from their position on waist and cleared my throat. "We should get back to the bus before it starts raining." I stated.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me back to the bus. She let go when we got back and went in before me. I noticed that she went back up to the back of the bus where the lounge is, I began to follow her but I was stopped by Johnnie.
"You okay dude, you guys looked like you were about to kiss out there, what happened?"
"Wait... You were watching us?!" He just smiled and nodded. I let out a sigh and followed Amanda to the back of the bus, where once again, it was just us.

"What do you wanna do now?"
She just shrugged and patted the seat next to her.

Amanda's POV

Kyle came and lied down next to me, resting his head in my lap. I decide to put my phone down and play with his hair.
"No don't take my beanie!" I giggled a bit and put his beanie on his chest and continued to run my fingers through his hair. It's so soft I might just fangirl. But I don't.

After a couple of minutes of me messing around with Kyle's hair I notice he's fallen asleep. He looks so cute when he sleeps. I quickly grabbed my phone and snapped a quick picture of his adorable sleeping face.

"Hey Amanda, do you guys -"
"Shh! Bryan, Kyle is sleeping!" I whisper yell to him.
"I was wondering if you guys wanna go grab a bite to eat?" He whispers back.
I nod my head. "Yes, I'll wake him, we'll be out in a minute."

I turn my attention back to Kyle, who is still sleeping. I begin stroking his hair gently. "Kyle, time to wake up." He begins to stir a little, slowly waking up.
"Hey." He smiles up at me. "Hey, Bryan wants to know if we wanna go to dinner with them."
He just shakes his head, "nah, I'm too tired."
"Okay, I'll tell them we're not going."
"We?" I nodded and got up from where I was sitting. "Want them to bring you anything back?" He just nods and I walk out of the bus.

"Hey, where's Kyle?"
"Sorry, we're not coming with, but Kyle does want you guys to bring back some food if that's okay with you."
Damon and Bryan nod and the three of them walk away.

I walk back onto the bus and sit back down with Kyle.
"Why aren't you gonna go with them?"
I shrugged, "not hungry" I lied.
