Aizawa Shota Grading Papers

Dating Aizawa Shota was a big responsibility that you had the honour of bearing. It was no easy task for someone who was quirkless (that someone being you) but you managed to do an excellent job. In fact, you were just an ordinary person who worked at the animal shelter.

Aizawa had come in just to look at the cats, which he usually did every month. At first, you didn't know who he was since you were too busy to keep up with who the latest heroes were. He didn't even tell you after the two of you started talking. You had initially asked why he always came in and played with the cats but never adopted one. He had told you his job got in the way and that he actually did not know how to take care of one. So, you helped him learn. The two of you ended up falling for eachother and he finally revealed his true identity to you. But you didn't care, you were just happy to be with him.

Aizawa always stayed up late grading papers, and since the introduction of dorms at the school, you two hardly saw each other. You two would spend hours on the phone together, eventually falling asleep on calls. You missed him dearly and tonight you had decided to surprise him at the dorms with the help of your new friend, Midnight. You didn't know of her either but she seemed fun to you. She helped you get inside of the school and led you to Aizawa's flat.

When you knocked on his door, you expected his surprised expression but he was too tired to emote to your liking. You loved his casual attire; the messy ponytail, the baggy clothing-- it was all so attractive. His eyes only widened slightly and his mouth dropped at the sight of you at his door. You threw yourself into his arms and hugged him tightly.

"I missed you." You murmured into his chest.

"I missed you too, baby. What are you doing here?" He asked, pulling out of the embrace to look at you with a smile.

"I haven't seen you in so long and I just wanted a night together where we don't have to hang up in the morning." You innocently explained.

"I would love nothing more than to give you all my attention tonight, but I have papers to grade." He tried to let you down gently.

"That's okay, I'll keep you company while you grade papers!" You shook your head with a smile.

"Fine by me, come on in." He moved out of the way so that you could enter. His place was clean-- like usual.

"Nada misses you. She cries for you at the door." You turn to him with a sad expression.

"God, I miss that furball. Give her an extra treat for me, will you?" He asked, pouting slightly. He missed the cat that you two had adopted together. You had finally convinced him to adopt one of the cats at the shelter and of course he chose the tabby that had just been picked up off of the streets. She needed a lot of TLC but he provided it just fine. You're convinced he loves that cat more than he loves you.

"Of course I'll give her a treat on your behalf. She must think we've broken up or something since you're never home." You place a hand on your hip and proclaim.

"I know, I know... It's just that I'm responsible for the students, even at night. Their safety is of utmost importance, those brats." He rolled his eyes at having to mention his students.

"I know, and I understand. It's just hard sometimes. Someday we'll live together again and Nada will have all the treats she wants thanks to you." You smile as you wrap your arms around him tightly.

"Soon, I promise it'll be soon." He murmured into you as he held you just as tightly.

"But for now you should worry about those students, their papers won't grade themselves." You pulled away first this time. He sighed deeply, knowing you were right and that he wasted his one night with you by grading papers.

He sat down with his computer and a stack of papers at his side and got to work. You simply stared at him, laying on your stomach with your head in your hands and your feet swinging in the air behind you. You loved being around him and even if he couldn't give you his attention, you felt lucky enough to even be in the same room as him for once. You truly loved him, and that meant you were willing to wait for him during this difficult time in your relationship. You were going to be patient with him and you were going to be supportive of all his choices. You were going to work together because you were at your best when together.
