Alice had woken up with the urge to throw up. She practically launched herself out of bed to run to the bathroom which woke up George and made him rush in after her. He held her hair back as she threw up. When she was done George was rubbing her back telling her that it was ok and asking if she had felt better. She leaned back against his chest and said that she did feel better. George suggested she stay in bed and rest but she refused and said she had to study with Angelina for a charms exam the next day. He had hugged her and helped her up. Lee, Chris and Fred were woken up by Alice throwing up. "Is she ok, she looks pale?" Chris said genuinely concerned for his friend. Alice assured him that she was fine and that it wasn't a big deal. Alice had decided to shower since she felt disgusting after throwing up. I should really see Madam Pomfrey. Maybe I should tell Dora too. she thought as she stood under the hot water.
"I hope she feels better soon." George said as he pulled out jeans, her blue sweater with an "A" on it and Alice's converse sneakers for when she got out. Lee nodded in agreement as well as Fred. "She's really lucky to have you George." Chris said smiling. George smiled back and looked at the closed bathroom door. He walked up to it and put his ear to the door. When he heard the shower still running he went back to his nightstand all while Chris Fred and Lee were looking at him confused. "Mum slipped this to me at the Champions Feast. It's her promise ring dad gave her in their sixth year and she gave it to me to give to Alice. I'm just waiting for the right moment to give it to her." he said showing them the ring. Fred smiled and patted his brother on the back. They heard the shower turn off and George quickly but carefully put the ring back in it's hiding spot.
Alice came out of the bathroom in her towel. Lee, Chris and Fred quickly turned around and grabbed their things and left to give Alice privacy. When she saw that George picked out her clothes she smiled. She loved when he did that for her. George hooked her bra closed for her, placing a kiss on her neck. They had both gotten dressed and headed to breakfast only to see Skeeter waiting outside the Great Hall's doors. Alice rolled her eyes knowing what was to come. "So do you lovebirds know what's going on between Draco and Harry or possibly Ronald and Blaise?" she asked seeking gossip for her article. George sighed, he was fed up with her trying to get involved in his family's business. "Look who my brothers talk to is none of your businesses. Now please leave them alone and leave my girlfriend alone too." he said frustratedly before taking Alice's hand and walking into the Great Hall. They had all sat down and started eating but Alice could only eat some bacon and a piece of toast before saying that if she ate anymore she would get sick. Hermione smiled sympathetically at her before going back to talking to Pansy. "Look mails here!" Ron said sounding very excited. Hedwig, Errol and Pigwidgeon came in dropping packages in front of them. Well only two of them did. Errol had, as usual, crashed into a bowl of fruit, knocking it over spilling fruit everywhere. Ron rolled his eyes while Alice helped the owl up before giving him a small bit of toast. Hedwig had nipped at her finger indicating that she didn't want to be left out. Alice laughed and broke off two more pieces. "There you go Hedwig and a piece for Pig too." she said smiling before the birds took off. They had opened their packages and as promised were three Weasley Christmas sweaters for Blaise Pansy and Draco. Pansy's was purple, Draco's was a dark green and Blaise's was a dark blue. They all smiled and read the note that came with the sweaters. It read:
Welcome to the Family.
Much Love, Molly
P.S. There's a spell on them so that if you wear them around school no one will know it's a Weasley sweater. It will look like a normal sweater. I know how bad it will be if Lucius finds out or Tabitha Parkinson.
The three Slytherins smiled at Molly's kindness. They were happy that she understood just how bad it would be if two purebloods wore Weasley sweaters and their parents found out. Blaise's mother could care less about blood status but she had to put up an act in public or when she visited the Malfoy or Parkinson residence that she was as strict with pureblood customs as they were. They eagerly stood up and put them on over their t-shirts, smiling. "Hey me and Alice match." Blaise said smiling. They all laughed and nodded in agreement. With the sweaters came Molly's famous homemade fudge and treacle tarts. After breakfast they all parted ways and George walked Alice to the library. When they got there Angelina was waiting outside the door. She smiled and walked up to them. "Hey. Saw what happened at breakfast, your mums really sweet. Also can you give this to Fred he left it in my dorm the other night." Angelina said handing George Fred's t-shirt. George cringed and stuffed it in his bag, knowing what happened in Angelina's dorm room. Alice smiled and kissed George before heading into the library with Angelina.
After a few minutes of studying Angelina and Alice had given up and were just talking. Alice was telling Angelina about how she wasn't feeling good and had been sick for the past few weeks. Angelina looked at Alice with a concerned expression before getting an idea. "Come on let's talk in my dorm. We'll be more comfortable there." she said before standing up and gathering her books. Alice did the same and they headed to Angelina's dorm. Once they were there they put their books down and sat on Angelina's bed, the others weren't there so it was just the two of them. "Alice listen I don't think your sick." Angelina said before reaching over to her nightstand and getting something from the drawer all while Alice was sitting there confused. Angelina sat back up and in her hand was a pregnancy test. Alice was in shock. Could it be possible? Was Angelina right? All of these thoughts started to form in Alice's head. "We keep these here just in case either we need them or the other girls. Along with condoms. We're always prepared. I think you should take this just to be sure." Angelina said with a small reassuring smile. Alice reluctantly took the test from Angelina before going to the bathroom to take it. While she was in there Angelina had put up silencing charms so if anyone was nearby they couldn't hear them. Alice had taken the test and walked out of the bathroom, shaking. She couldn't have been more nervous in her whole life.
It was the most agonizing three minutes of her life. Angelina was rubbing her back to try and comfort her. When the time was finally up Alice had to force herself to turn over the test and look at it. She couldn't believe her eyes at what she saw. On the test we're two dark pink lines. It was positive and Alice started cry. Angelina, already knowing the answer, came over to Alice and hugged her saying that it was ok. Katie Bell had walked in coming back from the greenhouse early. Katie was confused for a second at the scene in front of her before she saw what was in Alice's hand. She already knew the answer based on their reactions. She put her books down and that's when Angelina looked up at her realizing she was back. "Oh honey." Katie said with a sigh walking over and hugging her before sitting her down. Alice was still shaking and crying while Katie and Angelina were trying to calm her down a bit. "H-how do I do this? I don't know what to do? I don't know what to do! I'm only 15. George is gonna hate me for this. He had all these big dreams for his own joke shop with Fred and now it's ruined. Because of me." Alice said with tears streaming down her eyes. Katie pulled her into a tight hug while Angelina was stroking her hair.
"George is not going to hate you. He's not that type of person. His dreams of running a joke shop aren't over. He can still do that and be a dad. Most importantly what do you want to do. It's your body and your choice what to do with it. George will support you no matter what decision you make. He loves you and he will be there for you. He not going to run away. Besides if he did his mum would kill him." Angelina said with a small laugh at the end. Alice had stopped crying and went silent thinking of her options. She knew for a fact that she didn't want an abortion. She thought about adoption. With the world they live in and her gut feeling that Voldemort was coming back she thought that it was a good option. However part of her wanted to keep the baby. She would have lots of support and help from Molly and the rest of the Weasley's and Angelina was right. George would support and he wouldn't run away. She still wanted to think though. "I know for a fact that I don't want an abortion. I still need to think. In a way I want to keep our baby but with the world we live in we never know when Voldemort and his deatheaters will come back. I just want our baby to be safe and I want what's best for it." Alice said finally calming down. The other two girls smiled and hugged her. Alice went to the bathroom and made sure she didn't look like she was crying and went out to grab her books. "I'm going to find George and tell him. The sooner the better." she said before walking out of the dorm.
She searched for George almost everywhere but there was one place she hadn't checked which was the library. She debated on whether or not to look in the library or go to Hogsmede to look for him. She decided to check the library because maybe George was looking for Quidditch Through the Ages. When she walked in she immediately found George with Fleur. She walked up to them and as she closer she could hear what they were talking about. "It's simple. A-pp-le." George said and Alice smiled. Here we go again she thought. "Ehppol" Fleur said her thick accent preventing her say the "A" correctly. At the same time they both groaned in frustration and George hit himself with a book. "Ok well maybe tomorrow we can try something different. Take a break from apple for a while." George said sounding exhausted and Fleur nodded in agreement. She looked up and saw Alice standing there, smiling. A smirk grew on her face. She now knew why Alice was so different lately and knew what she came to the library for. Fleur saw that Alice had a purple and golden glow around her. The golden glow meaning she met her soulmate and the purple meaning that she was pregnant. "I vent looking for you but I found George instead so he decided to 'elp me today. I 'ave to go. Au revoir." Fleur said kissing George on the cheek then Alice, while whispering a "Good luck" to her. Alice was yet again, shocked. Sure she was 1/3 Veela herself but she didn't have the same abilities as Fleur did, since Fleur had a bit more Veela power than her.
"Hello love. How was the studying? I know me and Fleur's wasn't pleasant." George said smiling. Alice laughed nervously and looked down playing with her fingers. George noticed this and knew something was up. "Well I actually need to talk to you about something. Can we go to your dorm so we're in private? Please?" Alice said. George grew concerned and thought he messed up again and was going to lose her for good. "Of course love. Let's go." he said covering up the fact that he was panicking. One month, George one month and you already fuck it up George thought to himself as they walked to his dorm in a somewhat comfortable silence. When they finally got there Alice closed the door then put a silencing charm on it. That's when George knew something was definitely wrong. Here we go. She's breaking up with me he thought sadly. Alice took a deep breath and sat down next to him, taking his hand. "George, I really needed to talk to you because it's very important. Now before you think I'm breaking up with you, I'm not. It's just that this is important and we needed to talk in private." Alice said calmly. George let out a small sigh of relief causing Alice to let out a small giggle before she got serious. George looked at her curiously, thinking that something was seriously wrong with her. Alice took a deep breath before she finally said it. "I'm pregnant George." was all she said. George's expressions went from concerned to pure shock in a matter of seconds.
"Really? I-I can't believe it! Wow......" George went silent for a bit making Alice concerned a little. "Well love what do you want to do? This is your body and your choice. Whatever choice it is, I'll support you. We're in this together." George said sincerely. Alice smiled glad he understood. In that moment she made her final decision.
