THE BRITTLE, DARK BROWN LEAVES SWAYED IN THE AIR AS THE WIND PUSHED THEM AWAY, MAKING ROOM FOR THE NEWLY GROWN GREEN BUDS ON THE GREAT OAK TREES. The birds chirped louder, and the grass was no longer dry. It meant the school year was ending, and summer was approaching. They had a few more days before they needed to be upon Hogsmeade Station.
It was a full moon today; freshly brewed wolfsbane emitting its blue smoke sat underneath Eleanor's bed with the help of Cassidy and Tristin to make it just right.
Tristin trudged himself to the Great Hall and plopped himself down at the table with a great huff. He hadn't attended classes in the past two days, feeling as if he could barely keep his eyes open, but he drank the foul potion every day to feel better about himself.
"What are you doing down here? I told you I'd get food for you," Cassidy argued. "You shouldn't be down here."
"I wanted some kind of normalcy in my life, even if I have to force myself," Tristin said, his head laying on the table. Eleanor rubbed his back to help him feel better. "I'm sorry, Tristin, but Cassidy is right. You should return to bed until tonight; we'll stay with you. Help you pack?"
Tristin grunted as he slowly got up with the help of Cassidy and Eleanor down the stairs and into the dungeons.
It wasn't that far of a walk, their sneakers slapping against the old floors, above them the staircases moving and talking portraits hanging from the bottom to the tip-top of the ceiling.
They walked through the standard room and saw a few young and older classmates. Some were playing wizards chess huddled around placing bets on who will win with chocolate frogs and of course galleons and knuts. Some sat at the study desks doing late assignments.
Blaise Zabini, Gregory Goyle, Vincent Crabbe, Theo Nott and Pansy Parkinson we're amongst them "Merlin Thorne, you look dead; why are you always so bloody sick must be the muggle blood in you," Zabini said aloud. The rest of them giggled behind him giving him praise for his joke.
Though they were Slytherins like the rest of them, they didn't fit in as well as the purebloods because of their half-bloods. Often cast aside it made them wonder why the pure blood of an esteemed and well-established family the Burkes, their youngest son find friendship within these certain three.
"Shut up, Zabini, why don't you owl your mother to find out which man she's marrying this week," Cassidy said angrily her magic sparking around her making her hair whirl as her braids snapped as she whipped her head around to retort.
"Don't dare speak about my mother Gavin. Say another word and I'll make sure you regret it" Zabini growled threateningly almost reaching for his wand in his pocket.
Cassidy turned around, and she smirked "Oh so we're threatening now? what are you possibly going to do? Hmmm? I bet you don't even have a damn clue in case you weren't aware you use the pointy end to cast a spell"
"Doesn't matter what I'll do, Burke will always be there to clean the mess. As he always does. Take the fall. Because he cares too damn much about you three half-breeds. He could do so much better. Shame." He says as he snaps his fingers as turns around as if he forgot to say something and continues on.
"Let's all not forget what happened last year, despite the heir of Slytherin mess. That Weasley girl at the inch of her life. And you four were up to no good. Sometimes money doesn't keep people quiet. Right Thorne?" he asked with a smirk printed on his lips
