THE ONLY THING THAT TROUBLED ELEANOR WHILE SHE SLEPT WAS HER MIND. It always caused her much trouble when she was younger, she usually doesn't remember her dreams. The only one that stood with her was when she was only about 8 or 9 screaming so loudly and managed to sleep walk into her closet, all she remembered was seeing a tall man with bright red eyes.

Eleanor could never sleep properly, not when it storms so loudly that the rain hits the black lake so harshly you would think it was muggle gun bullets.

She looked towards Cassidy watching her sleep soundly in her bed, her arm was draped over the side, her mouth slightly opened.

The only noise that entered the room was the snoring of Pansy, but Eleanor made sure to place a silencing charm around her bed just in case if she were to scream and thrash around the bed not wanting to alarm anyone.

Eleanor stood from her bed, her bare feet touching the ground making her flinch slightly as the coldness of the wood spread through her bones giving her a slight shiver

She exited the room to still see the roaring green fire in the common room, she sat upon the loveseat and huffed loudly.

"I didn't think I was going to expect company tonight" she heard suddenly, her heart hammering in her chest as the person scared her.

She placed a hand to her chest to soothe her breathing "Merlin Malfoy we ought to get you a bell, so we can hear you coming" she said

Draco let out a snicker with a shake of his head as he sat down on one of the long couches, he leaned against the arm rest his legs sprayed out in front of him resting comfortably. They both stood in silence for a while, until Malfoy decided to fill the room with his voice.

"I can't sleep when it rains like that" he told her breaking the silence the only thing you could hear was the sound of their breathing and the crackling of wood of the fire

Eleanor looked at him "me either, I get really bad nightmares sometimes so I just decide not to sleep" she admitted

"Me too" he said quietly

"Why are you and Alfie not friends anymore, I know you two were close. What happened?" Eleanor asked

Draco sighed "It's not my place to tell you, He would hate me even more if I did tell you"

Eleanor didn't answer letting his words stay in her mind for a moment. "You know you're not so bad Malfoy" Eleanor told him

"You're not so bad yourself either Diggory" he told her.

"Well you might be a bit of an arrogant prat, but you don't let anyone see this side of you. Why?" She asked

Draco started into the fire "I have an image to uphold, besides maybe being an "arrogant prat" is just apart of my nature" he answered

Eleanor looked at him "A little advice Draco, don't just settle for the one image everyone expects you to be. I can tell there's more to you than the hard cold exterior you put on"

Once again they drowned out in silence, as they both stared at the green fire and the mysterious sounds of the Black Lake that surrounded them.

It wasn't for long when the portrait door opened, revealing Professor Snape. He eyed the two 3rd years questioningly. They both snapped up quickly, distrubed by the sudden noise their professor decided to make with his dramatic entrance.
